It pretty much took me the whole day to sketch this
I´ll do 30 more in the next weeks. I´m doing this excercise since
a long time now and I slowly feel like getting better

Doing these has motivated me to... MAYBE.. go buy a set of pencils again since mechanical pencils don't give you a lot of coverage when you want to do blacks.

I think I have a pretty good hand drawing solution for you.
Your drawings look good so this will be no problem for you.

I use the "Handy art reference tool" when I have problems with hand
poses. I first browse the preset hands and then adjust the angle.
You can move the fingers and wrist in the app. Then I make a screenshot
and trace over the hands with a simple shape. Then I copy the simple
shape by drawing it freehand. Then I draw over the freehand shapes.
I do it that way because I don´t feel good about using traced over references
+ then I make sure to draw it in my style.

It´s really easy once you did it 20 times. This took me 8 minutes and I dislike
drawing hands like everyone else too

Some quick hand sketches to see if it works in different angles.
It makes sense to get good at that because AI is bad at it :stuck_out_tongue:

For real. I've tried practicing it in my notebooks and with mu comic and it just isn't working lol. I appreciate the advice so much.

Do you have a mirror or someone who can take a photo of you with that hand pose?

I still fuck them up too, but drawing hands doesn't get better by running away from the challenge.

I finished this one but my room became too dark so it’s not photographing well :sparkles::relieved: so you just get the unfinished version for now … also I’m sad AI art is associated with multiple extra fingers on hands now but Lady Lock does have an extra finger on each hand, she’s just polydactyl, my friends. Built different >:0

Was actually doing hand sketches earlier this week. Definitely helps to do these regularly because I have a bit of an easier time with them now. Shout out to Lefty for modeling.
