@MerrowBros WOOO congrats! You gon be able to cash that fat one out!

@AfroAtelier, I know this is super late but I freaking love Lilo and Stitch. Saw it in theatres when it first came out! There's a really neat article about how the project was able to be as awesome as it was, and all the cost-cutting they did to stay under Disney's radar to keep it awesome. Highly recommend to anyone who didn't read it: https://www.polygon.com/features/22675483/lilo-and-stitch-disney-animation-chris-sanders-dean-deblois?utm_source=pocket-newtab1

@Kelheor OMG I have been feeling SO crappy the last couple months and I feel like it has to be winter. Like I don't see how it can be anything else.

I TRIED to do some sketching for a character to try and make her be not!Dot. There's so many pieces I don't yet know/like about her writing-wise though that I'm, eh.

Back to our scheduled programing of drawing 6'3" muscley bois I guess. At least they won this week :tapa_pop:

Made a digital version of one of my inktober drawings, and tried to use more saturated colors and stuff like that. I really like how it turned out ^^
Props to @rajillustration 's tutorial on saturated color schemes lol

I don't know if I already shared this but I was sorting out my art supplies:

And I stumbled across a sketch I lost momentum for because it was such a big project that I was probably to big for me to chew at the time but I definitely want to share it with you all:

@migxmeg I used to do digital art but after a system error with my tablet, I lost all of my work. After speaking with my partner, they suggested I try a different medium that was more tangible and they gifted me watercolours. The original plan was to make a digital comic but when I stumbled across Wolfsbane, my jaw dropped, this was the first time I saw a watercolour comic and it looked breathtaking! I've learnt a lot just by analysing their work and insta and glad you enjoyed it! :+1:🏾

@Black_Conscious Your art with Mulan in her armour reminds me of paintings from the time period that the movie is set. Like woodblock prints and ink brush paintings! It's really interesting to look at because I can't see her main plate armour but you've drawn it so well that I can use my visuo-spatial pad to fill in the rest.

@DanielRKM nothing beats a good'ol dragon sketch, the shading on the necks and behind the horns really adds depth

@stiatent Daz 3d, I'll have to check that out! I've recently wanted to create models of characters so that I can experiment with more complex and natural poses. I was looking a Zbrush and Blender but I've only ever seen videos and when you watch someone online use these apps, they make it look so easy. I recently found out that Autodesk have a 3d software. I was interested in that because, back when I did digital art I used their drawing app.
Did you ever create any games or are planning to make some for the future?

@Mallory amazing character design! And I saw the article you shared. And so many points hit home like changing chase seen at the end from plane to spaceship last minute because of 9/11. But by far, I think it is a good example of a what happens when companies do research into the cultures they are writing about as well as involving a diverse team to contribute to a project. The bonus features on the DVD goes into a lot of detail explaining all the places they went to and asking Tia Carrere for advice.
Thanks for sharing, that was a good read! :+1:🏾

@DanielRKM with the shapes in the background it looks like a decorative piece!

@migxmeg These layers of fabrics are everything!

@Demy nice redesign! Awesome hands too.

@Kelheor Hopefully the holiday will be more relaxing. I think everyone needs a best friend like Subaru's best friend.

@AfroAtelier That pokemon card tho! Not sure what the project was but the underlying sketch looks awesome!

@nathanKmcwilliams Nice block! Love the energy in the blue ink

I don't know why it was a big deal to me changing my icon to something Exit-success related but...
I feel bad for having so much work put into the continuation and not much to show for it.

@LCT_m_a_d thanks. Once I screw up by picking the wrong pen there's no pressure to do the rest of the drawing perfectly, which means it comes out decent:joy:

@AfroAtelier thank you! And I’m loving the lost sketch of your knight. If you ever decide to start taking little nibbles of that again, I’m all for seeing that sketch come to life.

@LCT_m_a_d yeah, totally had some fun with the dragon brushes for ornamentation. That was mostly messing around, but I think I’m gonna go deeper. Also, I am enjoying every update to your sketch!

@rumpenstiltzkin I feel the winter mood in your sketches (And they are marvelous).

@nathanKmcwilliams loving the kinetic energy today! And heck yeah, wrong pens make all the best drawings!

More studies/concepts on the docket today (and maybe a spoiler or two for the comic…)
