@Kelheor Thank you. I'm revisiting some older fundamental habits that I never should have abandoned. We'll see how long this lasts

@Aleksei so far it looks really good, Nice hand interaction.

Oop :flushed:

Well, time to start working on that design! You know, Aladdin and Ali Baba are both on my list for designs and I just haven't had a chance to get to them. Thanks for the incentive!

that's a very good bouncy ball. :smile_01:
there is good weight to this. I think maybe since the hand has a lot more "oomph" to it, maybe the ball could squish more on its hit, and that could be it's slowest point of contact besides hitting the palm of the hand.

Idk for sure though! I'm not an animator, I just have animator friends. lol

Well yeah, all your imputs are rights xD
I thought them after I did the hand, and I was like -I don't gonna do all this again-
I just need to keep practicing basic stuff like this to grasp the 12 animation principles, but the problem is to find the time xD

Awwww, thanks @Kelheor! I was just lurking and liking in those brief moments I get as my Illustrator files convert to PDFs (it's a perfect time to pursue the forums). And holy cow, your output lately has been outstanding!

@migxmeg And holy cats! Congratulations!!!!! I hope your new normal rocks!

Behold, the benefits of having small children that are to scale with your characters. Free references (there's no child labor laws for that one, is there?!?!).

I also took a break from the comic over the Hollidays (good lord, swapping comic time for Smash Bros was a dangerous decision. I am officially a late in life Smash Bros convert and Worlds of Light is too damn fun. For the sake of my comic, I have to let it go (for a bit...).

I did make some fan art, though (so, you know, it wasn't all video games). Love, love, love these series:

Wellside Wishes:

The Sunday Hustle:

Revenge of the Candy Snatchers:

@DanielRKM oh you are right here xD I thought I will be dead, but somehow I got the second breath haha
Another... Something

That's some awesome fan art you got there! Candy Snatcher look especially amazing with all the motion and colors! :heart_02:

It's been a minute since I've posted here, but here's some sketches of my characters that I feel came out really nicely. I'm trying to work on forehead proportions. It's something that's always tripped me up a little, and I often feel there's not enough space for characters' eyebrows when I draw them.

In the colored sketch, I'm also experimenting with how characters with dyed hair like Emil might change over the course of the series. You can see a little brown peeking in from the sides.

@Kelheor My god. The emoting on Shendal is stellar. Do you do tutorials on how you inject those perfectly emotive face shapes into your characters? Because I will take that class.

Aww, hahaha thanks so much @DanielRKM! You are totally taking that class right now since the only class I take is this thread :hype_01:

@Legendofgenii omg he looks amazzzzinnnnnng. Next TMNT villain?

@LCT_m_a_d thanks! :grinning: I am a bit hyperfixated on more cinematic lighting for a couple of days :speak_no_evil:

@EncryptedWriting it's alright, it's totally alright, I feel you :pumpkin:

If you wonder what's up with me and these guys having a nap on sketches... Gil not sleeping in the comic day 467 and counting lol
You can see his dark circles from Mars already

I definitely defaulted to 80's Teenage Turtle Toes on that one. :joy:

I love sleepy snuggly drawings.
