In this case, what interests me is why they've ended up in such a position that the concept is completely foreign to them. Do you have any thoughts or theories about this?
Yes, I'm aware that the whole alpha/beta model only works on captive wolves. However, despite the inaccuracy of that, I still find it interesting that many men flock to this idea either way: it seems almost independent to the scientific accuracy of that study's conclusions. Do you have any ideas on why this might be so?
Interesting--on my feed, I never got the impression that it was mostly lesbians and bi/pan women that were thirsting for her (perhaps this is just a consequence of the way social media works: on our feed we only see the people we follow after all). On my end, I'm seeing a lot of males thirsting over her--perhaps everyone is horny, and I might be mistaken in stating that it's only men that are into this.
However, I think there's still a great opportunity to discuss this: what is it about this dominating female figure that is so attractive to everyone? As many have said before, this is not a new idea at all, but rather a fresh representation of an ancient motif. Why do you think Lady Dimitrescu has so much appeal to everyone?
On the topic of sexual gratification, I can definitely see why the majority of services on Onlyfans caters to men. Even before that, visual pornography is something that largely attracts men.
However, what interests me is that in the particular case of Onlyfans, the services extend to basic social interaction between the client and provider (in the form of texting/dialogue). I sense there to be a hint of loneliness in the people that go to these services (and COVID has definitely exacerbated this), however even independent of that it's not a completely new idea: take for instance, the prevalence of Host/Hostess bars in Japan, as well as the concept of Girlfriends/Boyfriends/Families for hire.
Now, I would like to clarify that I'm not particularly criticising Onlyfans and the aforementioned Japanese services: in fact I'm quite grateful for them, as they've helped to cater to the needs of a particular market. Following this, they've helped to identify a particular hungry demographic, which is where my real inquiries lie--why does this lonely demographic even exist in the first place?
And on the topic of Onlyfans' demographic largely consisting of men, and the addition of social interaction as a service, is there a female equivalent to this phenomenon? If so, in what ways are they similiar/different. And if not, why is that the case?
I want to close this post by stating that in spite of the horrid meme posts I make on this forum, I want to tackle this issue with the utmost seriousness. In recent years, we've identified a crowd of men that many refer to as 'incels' or betas (and very most recently simps), and with the identification of this demographic, I've become highly interested in what leads people to this line of thinking:
On that note, I sense a hint of contempt for this demographic, which I find completely reasonable: reading and thinking about the discourse of these people, I imagine a squealing pig in a solitary pig pen, rolling around furiously in a mixture of mud and bodily fluids.
However, I don't want to approach this issue with contempt. In my eyes, I see people that are completely and utterly lost: the whole alpha/beta classification discourse seems to me an indicator of it. It's like they are attempting to create roles to fit in, and I have hunch that they would only do something like this in the face of complete absence of meaning.
I have a lot of friends that are video game addicts, or spend a lot more time than they should playing video games/retreating into fantasy worlds. I recently talked with a friend and some strange dreams he'd been having recently: one of them featured him tied up by vines and trapped in a cramped concrete room: there were no doors or windows, and the only glimpse into the outside world was a little crack in the wall. Another dream featured him going on adventures and trips that he wished he could. Having watched him carefully when he told these dreams, I glimpsed a sense of sadness and longing.
And knowing him, it's completely rational that he would have such dreams: from what I've seen, and from what I've talked about with his parents, that world of video games and fantasy is where he spends the majority of his time. Lately he's gotten better: he's started practicing the guitar a lot more, and having played alongside him at church choirs, he's become immensely skilled.
Those are the people I want to help. Mostly because they're likely people I know, and mostly because I can remember a time when I was deeply immersed in this line of resentful thinking.
I don't know, I just typed this in the hopes it would illuminate and stir up discussion about issues that are rarely discussed. At the root, I think something about all this discourse has to do about the loss of meaning. And when I said in the OP that its roots lead to hell, I really meant it: Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia (both of these Nietzche called out ages before they happened), even the ancient stories told in the bible--the fall of Sodom and Gomorrah, such and such.
Again, I don't know. I hope this discussion helps to illuminate one thing or another. Please take care everyone
