While I selected "Kill It" I would like to add a caveat - if it's just chilling in a corner I will leave it be - but if it starts roaming around the room - or gets up on the ceiling - then that spider has got to go!!!

If it's gonna live at my place it better pay the rent. :open_mouth:

Tbh I don't mind spiders as long as they sit in a corner of the room far away from me. There's not a lot of deathly spiders where I live. Just sometimes there's a bigger one and that I'll usually get rid of because there are arachnophobes in my house.

Anyway, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all spiders venomous but not all of them have enough venom to harm a human?

I have actually never minded finding spiders in my room because then they can hunt the bugs I don't like for me. Like mosquito, fruit fly, gnats and flies.

It's only when they make the webs in the doorways I have to walk though, then I have to catch them and move them to the outside.

I have the same exact spider policy! We will have no problems as long as the spider stays in his corner. Come near me, though, and it's war. >:[

Although the spiders in my house usually hang out on the ceiling, and I actually prefer it that way, 'cause then you can always keep an eye on 'em.

I hate flies and mosquitoes more than I hate spiders, so as long as the spider keeps those things out of my face, it can spend the night.

I'm always terrified they'll drop on my head!

I've had dozens of spiders drop down on a web in front of my face while I'm watching TV or working on my comic pages. I kill em- I dont have the time to evaluate whether its poisonous on not; they're in my personal space.

Nice. And lucky. I have to scare the lizards out of my house myself with a broom. Sometimes I end them with a chappal (sandal).

I've got a dedicated bug catching jar under my desk. If it's a spider I'll typically catch and release it but sometimes I'll kill one to send a message to the others when I find multiples in a short span of time.

my impulse is to ignore it, but at home i usually sadly kill it bc my sister is DEATHLY afraid of spiders

Paper, glass, open door, toss it outside. That's my standard spider protocol.

Small spider can live bc they get flies. Big spider can die on sight.

Soo.the timing of this just makes me laugh I swear this thread has brought bad luck upon me.. looking at you @DokiDokiTsuna :stuck_out_tongue:

I legit haven't seen a spider in my apartment since last winter ( we live on the top floor - so not many spiders get up there to begin with ). Then last night there was a spider on the ceiling of the shower, so I call my boyfriend in to take care of it - he manages to hit the spider down but it makes a run for it....we can't find it anywhere.

After five minutes I concede to finally take a shower - which is what I came in there in the first place for. I'm paranoid as hell that this spider is going to come out of nowhere - which eventually it does. I then proceed to squish it with a shampoo bottle and then the sucker literally won't go down the drain!

The only bug I will kill on sight of it’s in my house is a roach because I used to live with a relative who had the worst roach infestation like they would come scurrying out of your shoes and breed in the appliances and it gave me a massive phobia.

But me and spiders are cool.

Nah man.

I see a spider in my room, I leave.
That room belongs to the spider now. Heck, it can have the whole house while we're at it.

I initially scream and then try for catch and release. That's for spiders. For carpenter ants or scary bugs I scream for my SO to handle it.
