Is anyone else on this forum a Tintin fan? And if so, what are your favourite Tintin books/characters? My favourite character is Haddock (he's funny lol) and my favourite book is either The Castafiore Emerald, Tintin in Tibet or Flight 714.

One minute before you wrote this I stopped reading "Prisoners of the sun"
My favourite book is "The blue lotus", my favourite character is Haddock too.
I love Snowy too, Snowy is called Struppi in german. He the only reason why I would
get a dog and then I would call him Struppi

Tintin himself is a blank character for me and that´s good because you don´t have to think about him
at all and can just experience what he is experiencing. It´s probably better for the imagination
of the reader.

The comics are great. Hergé got some bad press in the german comic scene in the last years but
I found that not justified

I guess sort of.

I did have a copy of The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rachham's Treasure. I did really love those and did check out some of the other ones from the library. I don't think I liked the other stories as much, somewhat having to do with weird stereotypes and I think I just prefer pirates and nautical stuff. I do feel the art has been good through out the whole series.

I did see the 3D film and thought it was OK, it did follow the Unicorn story so I think that is why I enjoyed it. Tho the CG was super creepy at times and I don't like how they changed the backstory for Haddock.

Haddock is probably my favorite character.

The animated movie introduced me to Tintin, and I loved it! I enjoyed watching the old animated show with my siblings! I know it was a comic first though. So many good stories!

I love Tintin, my favorite character is probably Professor Calculus followed immediately by Captain Haddock, I love their dynamic.

I don't think there's a book in the series I dislike really.

Interesting! He is called Milou where I'm from and I think Milou is the name in the original version as well but Struppi sounds cute! :yum:

I wouldn't say that I'm a fan, but I did watch it when it aired on TV and I also think that I had a Tintin DVD and a couple comic books at home.
