Pre-New Look, updates for my Novel and Comic got an average of 15-25 views within the first few hours.
Post-New Look, barely 5-10 on average for the day and the Novel isn't showing up on FRESH either.

Like taking the wheels off a skateboard and using it to surf.

ENJOY!

We will take a look at this. Thank you

Also when looking at stats changes - as creators we forget that the majority of readers are interacting on the app and thus aren’t as affected by this change as we think. It’ll have SOME effect, but the app has been this way for a while.

I got kicked out of the app, so the website is where people find me.
I'm pretty sure other people got kicked out too... UNLESS I WAS THE ONLY ONE?!!

Yeah but that’s not true for the majority of users - only those who are posting uncensored NSFW content. In your case it would be most pertinent to see how the UI handles the changes but for most creators it’s a mix of desktop and app.

Does anyone have the percentage on active app users compared to desktop users i would just like to know the percentage.

60% percent mobile 40% percent desktop?
or maybe a little more on mobile

If Tapas is like most other sites of its kind, I think you’ll probably find the ratio is far, far higher. Wattpad for example, quoted over 90% of their users being app users over desktop/mobile.

One thing I just noticed as a bug is clicking the "SUPPORT" button in my Dashboard (url is titled tips) takes me nowhere. Upon clicking to "REVENUE" and then "SUPPORT" I am taken back to the 'home' of the Dashboard.

Well, I liked previous design a bit more, especially yellow color - it was like a trademark! But I'm not gonna complain about new one, what to do.

Though I suddenly got a problem 2 days ago, similar to a previous comment.
"SUPPORT" button disappeared from my dashboard, but I can open it by typing url with my own hands. Yesterday a couple of dear readers sent me some ink and it was counted, but it's like I don't have this option on my dashboard.

Okay, I was reading some comics yesterday, just to give the new layout a chance and there are some other details:

  • I'd love to have a "start from ep. 1" no matter what. For half of the comics which I have never seen before, the website assumed I was a continuing reader and sent me somehwere into the middle of the comic.
  • A "start from ep. 1" button would also be appreciated for comics I've been reading. Sometimes I can't manage to read a comic for ages, so I forget what's happened and basically I have to start over again. Which means major scrollage atm.
  • I've been reading a comic partially here and partialle on SJ, where some deleted scenes were posted. And srsly, I had to check the adress line on which website I was when I got up for a while to do sth else. They look TOO much alike! At least give us some tapas yellow, that would partially solve the problem ^^"
  • what I noticed too was: I only was able to access other creator's other comics via the main page of their comic. When I was IN their comic, there was advertisement for other trending comics, which does not interest me if I want to see more of the artist I'm reading!
  • Plus: Their external link is still only accessible via the main page of the comic. I know, premium comics are soooo much more awesome than anything a "normal" creature could ever achieve (that's sarcasm here), but stop shoving recommendations down my throat and rather let me know: "Hey, this creator you just discovered has some more series, lookie here"!
  • And... if we're not getting back banners, could we at least change the color of the color block ourself? x_x Aubergine is NOT the color I'd love to see anywhere my comic and it absolutely clashes with the square bannery thing that you left us as header...

Edit: And I'm still hoping for a solid DM system XD

There used to be a handy-dandy double arrow that was in the upper right hand corner of the banners for our series that no longer exists that would take you to the first ep automatically if you clicked it. I thought that was a great feature, too, for new readers wanting to jump to the first ep.

Ah yes, I remember and miss that button deeply! Good ol' times, good ol' times... :joy:
Not only for new readers, butu also for old readers! I know for sure that I'd love to reread some longer comics and like I said: The major scrollage is kinda scaring me away from stuff like that @_@

lol I should recategorize my comic as "horror" due to how scary the prospect of scrolling through almost 900 uploads is :stuck_out_tongue: ahahahaha!

Yes, but on the other hand, I love this kind of horror when the story is great! (Which is the case with yours) =P #worthit or what do kids these days call it? X3

Reporting a possible bug I encountered today.

Got an alert that a promoted comic updated, but didn't get an alert when a regular 'ol free to view comic updated today. (The comics in question were, I was told FANGS updated but was not told a new comic, The Search for Henry Jekyll updated.)
As in, the little bookmark icon didn't have that little yellow dot, but when I clicked it, it says the comic had updated.

Was there lag and I just happened to see it in a weird window of time? Is this intended somehow? Or maybe just a problem I'm having?

I've got the latest updated Firefox, and I'm on a PC and thought it was odd enough to report. Thanks all!

dark mode, please?
everything has become so hard to look at I have to change my monitors settings just to be on the desktop site and its really frustrating.

Dark mode

Retain formatting, including paragraphs and spacing and italics, in novels.

Also, nice to see Tapas is jumping on that bandwagon of so many other sites of "subtle messaging of showing likes on the main page to push and pull traffic, to already liked stuff, and away from new/less known/less liked stuff." This isn't an original idea, and honestly makes me want to quit the site since every single site I've been on that shows this kind of stat upfront punishes smaller and lesser known stories and stories that may not have "the best" eye-catching thumbnails.

There's also a limit to vertical scrolling on the FRESH/Novel section. No suggestion for pages or anything. Just, stops short suddenly.

In addition to noticing that I can no longer see who liked which comments, I realized there's no longer a button to downvote (though I'm not sure if that did anything before?). Also, didn't there used to be a way to flag inappropriate comments? I'm not seeing a way to do that anymore. Apologies if I'm misremembering.

Yeah, downvote is gone but I never knew anyone who used that anyway. Nope there was never a way to flag comments, you could only delete them. Deleting them is still there, but I think 'block' is new? So that's nice.
