What are some of your favorite childhood books? Some of mine include Junie B Jones, No David, Ramona series, The Rough-Face Girl, Too Many Tamales, The Very Hungry Caterpillar; There Was An Old Lady, Miss Nelson, and the Sister Grimm

In Elementary school. (80s to mid 90s) Bunnicula (6 to 10 age group), My Teacher is an Alien (like 8 to 13 age group) and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (adults found that book scary).
In Highschool. (mid 90s to 2000) The Vampire Files series about 400 to 800 pages per volume. 13 Volumes. Its Mystery/Horror/Fantasy takes place in 1930s New York. 14+ to 18+ rating.

I wasn't a very big reader when I was younger, but I managed to read two books from both The Baby-Sitters Club and The 39 Clues. I wish I read more, honestly.

My love of fantasy definitely didn't come from the books I read so it was probably cartoons.

Joel Harris' books about Uncle Remus tales, Ernest Seton Thompson's stories, Goosebumps, Artemis Fowl, Divine Comedy (reducted, for kids) with illustrations by Libico Maraja (also had Aeneid and Iliad from this series), Greek and Scandinavian mythology... Obviously LOTR and Sabriel, but I gut it's harder to classify them as children's books.
There was also a series of detective stories for kids "Black kitten", except it wasn't about black kitten xD I had at least like 15 and there was so much more.

I haven't read any of the books you mentioned! But maybe the primary schools stocked different stuff in the UK compared to elsewhere.

I read a lot as a kid. Outside children's encyclopedias which I adored it was all fiction. Most of the Garth Nix books (Sabriel, Abhorsen, Atremis Fowl, the Mr Monday, Grim Tuesday series etc), LOTR and the Silmarillion, the Harry Potter books, loads of Enid Blyton stories (The Magic Faraway Tree), the Famous Five series, My Side Of The Mountain, The Wind Singer series (which is really grim looking back, don't think it's a kids book). Ursula Leguin stuff (the Earthsea trilogy and the others about dragon riders), The Little Prince, and loads of short stories here and there.

Some of these are definitely not suitable for kids but it was the 90s and no one cared. 🤷

(which as I now remember included girls pretending to be men and joining a pirate crew to escape abusive society, no shit I liked it huh)

There were, of course, also Varjak Paw, Molly Moon, Nina (by Moony Witcher, digging the name here), Children of the Lamp... I LOVED reading as a kid. Ask me if I've seen a movie and I'll probably say "No, but I've read that book!" x)
