What do you like most about your OCs?

He is cute as hell. xD He is pure but also bizarre, unpredictable and weird.
He says what he thinks without fear and is not afraid to show himself as he is.

Krisle is really really fun to write for. He's probably the most developed of my OC's. His personality is interesting to do, since he can go from incredibly closed off and awkward to really really annoyed and loud. He's a goofball, but only around very specific people, and he has a lot of interesting stuff that happened around him that I can't write since it'd be a MAJOR spoiler. His dialogue is always fun, especially since I make him use a good amount of slang and he cuts his words up a lot when he speaks. Also, he's really fun to draw in general, and I love that I made him like doing hair, so I always get to draw his hair differently.

I think Frances is kind of a reflection on how I feel as a creator - when you get so caught up in wanting your talent to become widely recognized that you completely lose your passion for a hobby you love and sink into a state of self loathing.
She's arrogant, selfish, and is always 100% certain that she's one of the most talented musicians in the world.
She also gets visibly upset when anything doesn't go her way. The charming thing is that she always gets back up and keeps persisting until she DOES get her way. Whether it's for the best or not. And that's why I loooove throwing conflicts at her lol

Claire's heart and empathy. She's possibly the kindest person I've ever thought up.

Reese's acid tongue and propensity to make pervy comments/jokes because writing his lines is always a blast.

Zoey's befuddlement with the foreign culture she's living in (She's a Californian who is studying in the UK) is also a lot of fun to write.

Hmm I can't say my OCs' names, but what I like most about them in general is that they have a variety of personalities and moral views. I also have a feeling of wanting to hang out with them one day even though they're technically all my brain children.

Each of my OCs have something interesting about them that influences their personality, and after the whole process of writing them I think of them as my children.
I love my zombie girl, Vanti, because she is a loyal friend and always looks like she's tired of everyone's shit. She has a short temper and won't hesitate being rude if you're being an idiot -- something I would like to be like I'd think.
There's also Dario who's a happy-go-lucky drunkboy, he's been through a lot and has grown to be one of the sweetest guys. Originally he was just a dick but he's evolved through the years.
I guess this is interesting about OCs too, you develop them and learn new things about them on a daily as you think of them in different situations!

Each of my OCs have something unique that I like about them
Some are weak like Zach and Malak and I enjoy writing that because it's relatable.
I love Richard. He's caring and strong and a great leader but he has his own weaknesses that he needs to overcome.
Sylvia, Emily, and Abby. They all are completely different in personalities but they're strong women who know how to stand up for themselves.
Antebellum is someone I aspire to be lol she's just amazing and isn't afraid to speak her mind.
Ravi...is crazy XD. I like him because he isn't a cookie cutter villian there are many layers to him that sometimes I consider him an anti-villian.

Viper is a walking contradiction. I love writing her because what she says and what she does are two very different things.

She's loyal and caring, but also rude and very opinionated.

Perhaps my favorite aspect about this broken girl is her drive to save everyone, even people that wouldn't do the same for her.

I have, like, hundreds of OC's...but I think the ones I love the most are those who represent people I wish there were more of in real life: people who are sweet, strong, open-minded, merciful, generous, confident, and loving. Basically, people who truly believe in being good to others, on top of whatever personality they have. ^^

Man, I have a lot of OCs...But I always go back to these specific characters.I don't have a comic for them yet (maybe someday lol. They're not my priority but they're my favorite characters so...)

Here's my trio: Gen, Celine, and Ryo

Idk, I really how they're just like, good friends. They're a good team when they work together, I think? Gen is calm and understanding but won't hesitate to put some sense into you if you step out of line; Celine is generally uplifting, the "mood maker" so to speak; and Ryo is the more adventurous type who sorta drags the other two into newer/exciting experiences or situations. Anyway i just love their dynamic.

I think it's the beauty of creating something from nothing. But also the variety - Hoodie, an immortal child wandering in a magical library; Persephone, a queen who doesn't know she is that; Stewart Wave, the superhero fallen from grace grinding in a police department trying to rise, and the side characters - realizing that these folks are the ultimatum of all my life experiences -- happy, sad, angry, fear--it's beautiful and amazing and . .. . it's mine.

i have to many to go one by one as a whole i like that it doesnt feel like im 'constructing' or writing them. it kinda feels like theyre just doing whatever they want and im watching them through a one way window as they develop.

but my main character blaise is super fun to write. hes constantly trying to maintain a brave professional composure but underneath that hes a dumbass who probably got banned from various panera breads trying to do parkour off the front counter and does stupid shit like forgetting to lock the eclipse's doors and makes unnecessary stops because something looks fun.

I'm going to look backwards in this thread to my Alien Fiction series. A human is the protagonist, but he's really not important (because he's a filthy human). The aliens are the important characters. My trinity of alien characters Odin, Isis, and Shiva. I like how easy they are for me. They are easy to draw. They are ridiculously easy to write. I've knocked out two books with these guys now, and they have not yet given me even one moment of writer's block nor uncertainty about my plans with them.

Odin is my Charlie Brown/Daffy Duck/Eyore. He mirrors all of my own grumpy and cynical tendencies. He's powerful enough that he gets to say exactly what he wants to say all of the time.

Isis foils Odin is that she is outgoing, positive, and perpetually excited. She has a lot of very positive character traits (not to say that she isn't evil to the core). I've sort of made her into my imaginary friend.

Shiva is just a hoot. I get to write a lot of over-the-top lines of dialog from Shiva like, "My dreams taste habanero peppers and napalm." <--That crazy jumble of words right there? That made perfect sense in context.

Same... What I like about my OCs is that I feel there's a bit of myself in each of their personalities.

My OC, Senri. Well, he's way smarter than me, but he's more of my science-minded side. He can be a bit grumpy and also act rashly.

My OC, Shion. Well, she's way prettier than me, but she's more of my cute side. She puts on a bit of a front and is doubtful in some of her decisions. She wants to be independent, but still finds herself relying on others.

I think part of the reason I love my comics lead OC, Markesha, is because she Just. Doesn't. Give. Up. Home girl can be curb stomped by fate and she'll still get up and keep going. This passion, determination and tenacity makes her powerful and inspiring to me.

I also love the way she interacts with her team. She doesn't put up with her coworkers dumb jokes or flirting. She can tell when he's being a doofus and when he's being genuine.

I love that she's patient with her other coworker and despite the fact this engineer has communication problems, Markesha's pretty respectful of that and her.

I love that she calls her own boss out on his BS on the reg.

And I love how much she loves and cares for her Dad. It's a difficult relationship sometimes, but her loyalty to her father means she'll do anything for him, even things she really, REALLY doesn't want to do. And all of it to keep him happy and safe.

She's just a kickass character that's always underestimated, but is a freakin badass and despite all of her flaws working hard to be a good person.

Some of my more interesting characters from All Broken Gods

I guess what I like about Japhin is he's horror comedy equivalent of the straight man to a world full of bizarre demons. Always a do gooder and a softie conflicted with dealing with an entity that haunts him that has a penchant for violence.

The Silver Lining Club I like their dynamic. They're all sorta all varying degrees of dumb and are unaware of how to approach people out of their small community always fumbling to make a good impression on Japhin and each one trying to correct each other on how to approach each situation. Very caught up in the glitz and glamour of fame and notoriety leaving them confused on how to interact with others.

And Belinda who has to put up with the club as her employees and try to force them to be a bit more professional. She also believes Japhin is clueless to the demon world around him and tries warming him up to their lifestyle.

I also found it cute she became a kind of lich and found none of her old clothes showed off her form anymore and just relied on business attire or rarely got tailored dresses that might hide her skelebones XD
