I hope this topic won't get too depressing...I'm already getting that vibe. ^^;
Anyway, I'm only considering one of my parents in this because the other is nuts and literally never listens to a word you say, but we mostly have everything on this list except 'love, fun times, and hobbies'. Basically, we know each other very well, but we don't necessarily have a lot of fun together...ever...
I'm fine with that; as an introvert I always have most of my fun by myself anyway. But deep down I've always kind of wondered what it would be like to have a parent who 'enjoyed' you. Who could wax nostalgic about the dumb stuff you did as a little kid, and actually takes an interest in your hobbies besides occasionally asking when you're gonna make any money with them (it's not as bad as it sounds; I wonder the same tbh). ^^;
Basically, the parents you always see on TV and in movies, who actually stay awake at night wondering about things like if you love them, or if you appreciate how much they love you. Not how much they do for you, how much they LOVE you. That's not really a part of my experience, and it probably never will be.
