UPDATE: Got the moon DIY from Celeste last night...fam is prolly gonna be mad coz they've been wanting this DIY for months; they made a moon/space area on their island and been screaming for Celeste to give them the moon DIY and the moon surface/flooring DIY(but they have the moon rover DIY which I dont have)
Also they are "sharing" their island with their kiddo(who barely even plays) so a lot of stuff that they could've been getting to themselves, they're having to split rewards & not getting everything; their kiddo has the DIY for the moon surface/flooring...
Ended up using the summer shell DIYs(wallpaper/flooring/rug) on my bathroom instead of the berry chocolate flooring- my bathroom looks cool af; debating about putting a palm tree lamp in there, but I have the shell lamp so...
Think I'm gonna get more hydrangea bushes and change out the shrubs around the island; then after that- and growing a few more cherry & pear trees, I can start working on the eatery idea.
My brother gave my sister a bunch of games for her birthday, so I decided to try one of them out. I think it is too early to have a full opinion on the game but so far I am a bit on the fence. I enjoy Level5's game design (also a fan of Yokai Watch) however I strongly dislike the MC and I hate how slow it is. Hopefully it picks up.
Still doing the Animal Crossing thing...built the moon for fam(went to their isle to cash in my turnips) on Friday; today I've been just trying to grind & get things done. Finally built the popsicle booth I was planning to use the snowflake-pop DIY for; also the customize feature makes them different flavors so that is cool. I removed a few bushes in front of my resident services area to expand where I have the cotton candy/gumball/popcorn machine- it seemed the only logical place to put the popsicle booth. I ordered a table to set the shaved ice maker on, but I'm not sure it'll work. I had an ice cream cone lamp that I placed beside the booth, but I ordered the rainbow cone because I think it will work better...if the table doesnt look right, then I'll just DIY a table and go with that.
Here's what I got so far:
UPDATE: Got the stand/booth looking the way I want; also grew a 3rd pear & cherry tree- relocated them to the main part of my island and I'm now growing pear & cherry trees #4...I'm having to get rid of a few hardwood & apple trees, but I'm good with that(I have WAY too many trees, but makes good for summer right now with all the bugs). In the next week I'll have to get rid of a few more and relocate my 2nd pond to make space for my ramen joint; I may have to shift my picnic area a little further south...
I'll keep that stall/booth space year round and turn it into a coffee stand in the fall & winter.
Growing a 2nd set of orange pansies; trying to figure the combination to grow green mums...and the blue rose is still eluding me and fam.
Finally started laying down the work on the ramen joint on my island; looks pretty nice so far...
Also moved my 2nd pond to the right side of my island; shuffled my picnic areas down a bit to make room for the new additions...
Just waiting on MORE items for the ramen joint that I ordered-now that I figured out customizing the simple panels for walls to use in this project, I'll be adding few each day until I get the desired effect that I want. I wish I could've customized and added table cloths or placemats for the tables; also wish I could use rugs on the custom flooring...will be using [customized] zen pillows for the seating. I experimented with the zen pillows customizing my kotatsu cloth and pillow seating in my kitchen.
still playing hades and acnh but i was checking out game demos and there's this point and click style murder mystery game called tangle tower they had in the switch eshop. even though the demo's short it's really interesting where interacting with the environment can help you find clues and things and then there puzzles and other things scattered about. the dialouge seems really fun as well and for something that was probably about 10-15 minutes worth of play i'm pretty fond or at least very interested in one of the main characters sally spears. i can't get the full version now (maybe my bday next month) but it's gone onto the wishlist with a handful of other games
I've been slowing down on Monster Hunter Rise because I have a lot of farming to do to make end-game weapons but it's still a ton of fun.
I started playing Chivalry 2 on PS4 and in the four days I've had it it's crashed three times, probably the most a game has ever done that to me on Playstation so I dunno wtf is up with that. Entertaining but I guess my connection to their servers isn't great. I'm not very good at hand-to-hand yet (you know, the whole point of the game) but I'm a total dick with a crossbow though.
In ACNH news: RNGesus answered my prayers yesterday and Admiral asked me if he should move off of my island and I almost screamed in relief. We've been trying to get that green asshole to leave for MONTHS. We didn't choose to let him move in, the game picked him out for us after someone else moved out. He's packing up today but he left me with this chilling parting message...:
There has been this one game that I been trying for years to find and play. And I FINALLY found a way to play it. It's called Stay Tooned! and it is really weird and unfortunately very obscure. The only reason I know what it is it appeared as a trailer on a copy of Math Blaster Algebra. It must have been like 15 years searching for it, and I guess I am happy that I finally experienced it.

I also played Sim Town recently out of curiosity due to being a fan of the Sim City games. It is not good.
Mainly steam games:
Phasmophobia (i get nightmares so i play with my frens)
Team Fortress 2
Rimworld (best community building game out there, you cannot convince me otherwise. It's like the Sims 4 meets Animal Crossing but add aliens and guns and death and lost limbs and taking care of your community)
Ark Survival Evolved (just bought it because it was on sale but I can't play it with my weak laptop)
Don't Starve Together 2 (this game makes me mad)
Minecraft (because that's my childhood)
Sims 4
Roblox (but only the rhythm games because those or fun)
Friday Night Funkin' (I can only play on easy mode lmao)
I also have Gmod but that's for my bby bro.
Yeah, if a villager leaves you're instantly ON THE CLOCK to find someone else before Nook moves in someone of his choice. A fam member of mine is complaining coz they kinda dragged their feet about finding another villager for their isle and Nook filled that spot with a castaway I let go from my island
In other ACNH "this villager irks my nerves" news, I built a water fountain and put it near the square...in me prepping the area one of mine just kept being annoying af, just being all in my way. The minute I sit down the water fountain, this dude runs to it like folks have been making him live without drinking anything; I so wanted to beat him mercilessly with the net.
playing around in acnh and made some small cosmetic additions to the island
this ones my favorite~
also it turns out that adding fringes to blankets/towels can make them look 100x cooler and cozier (at least imo)
i've also finally come to accept my addiction to custom design clothing (i just got this one to go with my frugal hat)
plus i will finally be able to make my orchard complete! had to remove a lot of the filler items i put in there but it's gonna look super nice when it's done. i've got a few more changes i'm hoping to make to fully flesh out some areas of the island but once it's all done i'll be updating my dream address and sharing it again.
i'm also giving turnips a shot this week to get some extra bells in the bank so here's hoping i dont mess that up...i wanna use them to expand the other houses i've put on the island
