When I last did a reader survey, which was admittedly when my readership was a lot smaller than now, my readership was pretty close to an exactly equal split between male and female, and then with about 15-20% nonbinary. This does align with previous surveys I've done on my work, and on the sort of people who comment. or who follow me on social media.
I make work with a sort of even mix of relationship drama and action and fairly detailed worldbuilding and magic system and plenty of action sequences, so it has fairly broad appeal. I also feature nonbinary characters, which unsurprisingly enby people like. I think the fact that my work isn't especially sexy in style helps too; like there's rarely stuff that'll make anyone feel uncomfortably like their gender only exists in the story to be objectified for a specific gaze. The characters are all just people, they're all kinda dorky, and it's kind of cool that anyone can get into it because of that.
I always used to think of my work as "For women", I'm a female creator, I tend to make stories about mostly female characters, or at least with a female protagonist... but over time, I discovered that, perhaps due to having pretty low gender conformity in how I act and communicate in spite of a strong female gender identity, I tend to attract male readers. It shouldn't have really been a surprise; I've always had a pretty even gender split of friends too!
