What if your blurb was written by your characters? (Promotion time)

Imagine how different that synopsis might sound if one of your characters wrote it. I think it would be a fun way to see inside their minds for a change, and it doesn't have to be your main character, any one will do. Or, to make things even more entertaining, feel free to write your blurb using more than one character.

Also, don't forget to drop your link in case someone is interested in checking out your story/comic!

For my main series Super, I think I'll use two of my favorite side characters: Park Myung and Ji Min-Soo. Here goes!

Myung: Once upon a time, there lived a lonely walrus named Tara.

Min-Soo: She loved to dance and dreamed of being famous some day.

Myung: But unfortunately, she sucked.

Min-Soo: Until one day she met a handsome prince!

Myung: Have you looked in a mirror today? I think you're being a little overconfident.

Min-Soo: She met a handsome prince who showed her how to dance!

Myung: Sure, and then one thing happened and another thing led to a bigger thing, and... Long story short, the walrus is cursed, and if you thought this was a sweet, heart-warming story about a girl who gets a second chance at her dream, you were wrong. This story is the one that will haunt you forever.

Min-Soo: But at least it has a cool soundtrack~!

Oh that's a fun idea!

Valerie: A useless singer, who uses her assets to seduce men, flees to her hometown like a coward.

Dina: She stirs up trouble for everyone, especially her neighbors, who are annoyed by her nocturnal activities and the constant stalkers around the place.

username: modthebod When she betrays the trust that people placed in her, it triggers a series of deaths.

Thomas: A smart, righteous policeman joins forces with multiple people to solve the murders

Suzuka: angry noises

Maggie: Alright, let me handle this. I'm a new counsellor in Ardour. Me, Suzuka and Mateo work for the DOPD and assist in the rehabilitation of clients. 10% of the population in our city have the chance of transforming into symbolic representations of their emotional trauma.

Suzuka: Exactly! So it's not their fault that they transform.

Mateo: They're putting other people's lives at risk! They're a danger to us all! If it was up to me, they would all be locked away.

Suzuka: I'm literally this close to punching you.

Mateo: Your fingers are touchin-ow!

Maggie: As you can see, we're still learning how to go about this, but I just want to do what is right by my clients. As long as I try my hardest, I can help everyone around me!

The Doctor: * giggles uncontrollably, his lips curling into a wicked grin * Ahaha! Oh, the seasons change when there’s something strange! The air is thin, and the results are in. Death lives here, but there’s no need to fear! My darling patient Fate must save the world before it’s too late. H-2-0-9-1-3, come and rescue me. And before you forget, darling, don’t fret: I will make you glow.

Mackenzie: I have...so many questions.

The Doctor: * continues laughing *

Mackenzie: ...never mind.

My absolute favorite character is definitely The Doctor

Ok I have 9 main kids in my comic TLC so I'll go one by one is they were to sum up the story so far!

Yinyang (Main Character through act 1) : I was stuck in an orphanage until I was 12 and the last kid left. Nobody wanted me with my unpredictable powers....and one day I was kicked out......... Then the Black family took me in, I love my new parents and siblings with with all I've got, and I try every day to make this family better. Though I'll admit I'm still learning every day what it means to be a part of a 'family'

Keen: Mom and dad have been taking in other kids that have powers or have been experimented on since I was six. I told them after the twins were adopted that having any more siblings would be overwhelming. but in the end I'm glad dad brought Yinyang home. she's given me a lot of confidence and is probably the sister I'm closest to.

Casey: A lot of my early life is a blur, but I know if I hadn't been adopted my life would have been a ton harder. And Yinyang got me back on my feet after most of what made me who I was disappeared. i think she'll go on to do great things.

Bobby: I was the first kid to be adopted into my family, and I love groing up with everyone and having new kids come around! Everyone has such amazing stories and hopefully one day I'll be able to create a family of my own!

Taylor: If dad didn't find Tylor and myself on that could winter night we probably would have grown up hating the world if we didn't die from the elements. I was definitely already on the way there. And if dad didn't bring Yinyang in she wouldn't of given us the idea that solved our biggest issue that had stayed with us or whole lives...... We can be a lot more happy and independent now thanks to our family

Tylor: I would never be able to chose between our family but our parents, Yinyang, and Tay have definitely had the most influence. and while we've all had some downs I'd like to think mostly good things have happened here and will continue to happen. I hope that we'll all get to be happy one day

Anna: I miss mama and papa a lot...... but if that time hadn't passed we wouldn't have our new family, and I love my new family!

Braiden: I wish Anna knew more about our previous parents, but at the same time I'm glad she didn't live long enough to see what happened to the world after she was gone. In this modern age we were reborn into I have to be thankful for everything we have; a loving family, medicine, and food on the table

Natily: I'm just glad everyone is finally getting along..... at least for now. with a house this full nothing can stay peaceful for too long..,,,

I love this concept, its a great idea

If Solvi wrote it - This story follows my life and how I had to try to save my village from certain destruction, mostly because some idiot didn't know how to take no for an answer.
If Herlief wrote it - This is the most amazing story that I could tell a hundred times and never be tired of it. It follows a brave young elf who had her world turned upside down, and despite everything going against her, she still finds a way to continue her mission.

Rua: We are the Tu'i and nothing else matters. That is all you need to know.
'Ekolu: nods, doesn't have any valuable information to add.
Wanu: facepalms That's not all, we have to tell them more. I'll take care of this. We are the end all and be all, so come and visit our little island, there's definitely nothing shady going on here.

I'll do this with 3 of the 4 main characters and with one side character I'll just describe the story so far from their perspective, so I don't give away too much

Jason: It's complicated. There are work and family and secrets and mystery and death and... there's this girl... Oh don't bother me with this, I have to get back to work! Leave me alone!

Lola: Life is full of ups and downs but we're always on the way up, at least that's what we want to achieve! Even if life tries to fight us, I won't give up. Annoying my brothers is too much fun and I finally have a best friend!

Oren: Food. And finally fighting the bad! I was waiting for this to happen for such a long time!

Mr Morelli: My boy finally finds himself after years of being ripped apart by being two people at once. I like the girl, she seems like a good one. I'm glad Lola is happy now, she's grown into the strong woman I always knew she'd be. And Oren has found his place, I knew he was a fighter! I'm so proud of them. I wish I could tell them.

(Jules submitted a piece of paper with a drawing of a sword on it and the words "is a graphic novel a novel?" when picked up, the paper activated an electronic speaker that played a tinny midi rendition of "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley. The paper then combusted, revealing a tiny, mysterious key. The key opened a safe in her cellar. The safe was full of swizzles sherbet dips.)

Me and Jason made a promise to find him, and save him from the dark influence that made our dad rampage... but I haven't seen him in a while. I have made a lot of friends though!"

Cate: "Well, this is the story of a rash knucklehead who rushes into everything on a journey to save his old man. He also cheated and knocked me unconscious in our battle!

Andrew somehow bumps into everything and makes a mess, then cleans it up. Like the time he won against me in a dirty way!

Sometimes he saves people, sometimes people will have to save him.
Did I mention he cheated in our duel?"
