well this is just infuriating on why a website, even if its a bot, would take people's original content without any consideration. even my comic is on here and i didn't even know about it.

Thank you for the good work Tap team, I hope for the best. We, the tapastic community are rooting for the best outcome ;D. Likewise, I'd like to say. If this doesn't get resolved and if 'our' content is not going to be taken down nor removed, I feel that we should advertise and warn others about the site. This is a easy short-term solution for the time being, as it will also warn other artists and creators whom aren't from tapastic that may also have their content posted.

All 3 of my comics are up there, images still there.

I got the notice from a friend about 3 hours ago but I was at work. Thankfully, I contacted my lawyer, and we managed to talk/discuss what works and what doesn't.

But I'm going to copy/paste the tweets I posted back then to help people in the future:

As an artist of ANY medium, you are protected by the US MILLENNIUM ACT which any work published online falls under this permit automatically. This also includes international agreement with the website's country of origin, so your copyrights may apply there too.( You need to check out what sixmanga's country of origin is but most likely falls within international agreement)

You have to apply a Cease and Desist, or threaten with valid legal consequences as you have copyrights AND distribution rights (where sixmanga is violating the distribution rights.) Simple as that!

I'm currently writing a separate cease and desist aside from the cloudfare document and Tapastic's own action (which thank you by the way, you guys are awesome) and I have a friend who works for Google and he's telling me which of the legal aspects I can apply to take them out of google's search engine as petty revenge.

In any case, I can post the document here once my lawyer approves it, so you guys can use it as well (if you want to keep tackling it e-e) AsifIdidn'thaveenoughworktodaysixmangaSIGH

Being relatively new to this sort of thing, I'm not really sure what to do? One of mine is up there, but as with everyone else the images are broken, so I guess that's cool. Should I do anything else?

Haha, looks like my comics images are broken on that site now too (except for the very first page for Psychteria which for some reason is still there but it might be my cache lol)

Thankfully no images are uploaded but someone on twitter said the owner of the site is from Alibaba?

How soon can Tapas sort this out?

What can we do as individuals to protect/stop phishing if we go to this site or whatever?
