What Was Your First Comic?

My first comic was written when I was 11 years old, drawn with pencils and crayola wax crayons. It was about girl with a bell around her next falling to earth meeting a boy with wolf ears and tail. Ever time the bell rings she transforms into her edgy evil side who was a ..MURDER!! From what I remember they fight an evil black monster called the..THE DARKNESS(too spooky for me).

I kinda wish I could find that old thing again.

I remember doing little 3 part short series (technically fan fics) of Digimon (season 1 so that was around 1999, that show was my everything look froward to it every week!!! XD) they were mostly comedies in them that was so fun, thinking of the charterers in situations that i made up from my mind keep me excited to draw, it was like my escape from school at the time! (like my playtime)
i did a comic of each season of digimon (at the time i was a kid seasons 1-4, 4 being my absolute favorite season!)

Dunno exactly which was first-first so I'll just list off a few of the earliest that I remember:

• I made several short digimon and pokemon fan comics in elementary school. Usually revolving around my family members and their friends as the main cast.

• My mom taught me an easy way to draw a cartoon rabbit when I was younger, so I made a series of comics about him. His name was Fred, "Funny Rabbit Except Dumb". These were basically all 1 page gag comics where fred would do something dumb/funny. He even had a hippie-ish brother who made a cameo once or twice. Some scenarios I kinda remember are them making a laser that turned the whole planet into a large carrot, and some sort of beach trip. (I'm sad, these are some of the few drawings from my childhood I have no idea where they are xD;; )

• A thanksgiving cross-over comic between Sonic the Hedgehog, Yugioh, Pokemon and... I think Fred from the previous bullet. I only got like 3 or 4 pages in, wherein the turkeys sent Sonic a request for help because Shadow had a rifle and was hunting them. So Sonic dressed up like a turkey and ran around to distract shadow, then they had a speed chase where sonic did a loopty-loop on a tree and shadow ran into it and got his head stuck. The last panel was Ash and Pikachu wandering upon ko'd shadow and wondering if he was a new type of pokemon. I sadly don't remember what the rest of the plot was supposed to be like.

Then after these types of ones I have a lot of middle school comics I remember, but those are def not my earliest earliest ones.

The first comic I ever made was on Deviantart, actually. I used a thing called Walfas and it's basically a paper doll maker.

Was a pretty meh series.

The first comic I ever made was probably the story of a cat who peed in different places. Mainly because the Finnish words for cat (kissa) and pee (pissa) rhymed and I loved cats. I must've been very young back then because it was very simple but I did make it into a small book that I folded from paper. My grandma still has it if I remember correctly.

My comics have developed into a different direction since then. :'D

Only comic I ever made was in middle school, hand drawn about some demon chick whose mom was killed by her father after he found a mistress. There's also something about servants that were reincarnated to earth for something... and a sister who hated the MC... ya that was pure cringe, but was a nice thing to do for fun.

I think one of the first comics I made were about a bunch of stick people that escape from a drawing and terrorizing two siblings. Was going to make a sequel where the siblings jump into the drawing, but never got around to it XD

Omg, fan comic person here too, when I was like...6 years old. But after realizing I couldn't draw sailor moon characters very well, I ended up just making a "rip-off" comic based off of it. Which was 'better' because I could name the main character after myself hahaha

I really love seeing how many people started with fan comics and "rip offs"--it's being able to look into what it was that compelled you all to become storytellers. And then you grew up to continue making stuff because of that little germinated seed. It's awesome.

My very first comic is the one I'm doing right now. Originally, I'm a "writer" and I started drawing late. (So no fancomics for me but lot of fanfictions )

I used to watch a lot of 80s/90s action and horror movies as a kiddo growing up, and I think my first comic was inspired by Empire of the Ants (1977).

It wasn't ants that were attacking people, but it was like giant monsters that sorta overtook the entire small town. And the last two people got away in a boat, similar to that 1970 movie's ending.

It was pretty well-done for a kiddo my age, but it's long gone by now. Just drawn on your standard copy paper with crayons

I am currently working on my first comic. The 5-arc story is structured and all (at least the main plot points). I have designed the mian protagonists and antagonists, but I still need to look for a good mangaka level artist who can draw full-time for me. I wish to start as soon as possible as I currently have some og ideas made into this story. I can design characters and write entire scripts, but I am not at the level of a mangaka.

The first comics I made were Sonic the Hedgehog comics! My mother helped me bind them all into a big book and everything.

I didn't draw comics as a wee one. I was more into illustrated "story" books, though the characters may have spewed out word bubbles at times? I was a dumb kid, what did I know.

Years later, I was too afraid to join my high school's Comic Club. I just stuck with the plain old Art Club because it sounded more legit and because comics weren't "REAL" art. I wanted to be taken seriously as a teenaged artist, guys!! Lol, and I still do... sorta.

The most recent comics I can recall were some Hetalia fan-comics. I was in my very early 20's and just getting into both digital art and online fandom (took me long enough, right?!).

I do not feel inclined to share, if I can even find them. Hope ya'll don't mind

It's a one-shot set in a fantasy world I'm building for bigger stories. It's about a caster/magician talented and ambitious but who struggle to find his place and overcome his insecurity.
I maybe shouldn't say that for promotion, but that's the comic where I allow myself to do all the errors (scripting, designind, drawing, pacing...) to be able to learn from them.
It's also my first work in English and there is a lot to improve there too XD

Those stories usually are interesting. I can write well myself actually. I can even draw characters from the back, front, and side for character model sheets.

Do you happen to do those stories by yourself with with another?
