Disagree with the "looks are everything", being beautiful can cause some problems. Many years ago i dated a really hot woman, and while being beautiful had helped with her popularity , it also attracted some creeps's attention. I had to shoo away a couple of catcallers and in 2 separate occasions someone attempt to rape her. Luckilly the attempts failed for different reasons, like friends noticing in time or grabbing a broken wine bottle to defend herself and scare away the creeps. There was also some crazy news on how a rapist ran away from a house after turning the lights and seeing how ugly was his potential victim.

Beauty is a double edge weapon, it has its benefits, but also leads to dangers.

So, lookmaxing is not necessarily a good thing. You might attract people, but which people you attract is not something you can control.

You've made up a scenario to be mad about which is not reflective of wider reality. What you've described is how incels treat people, not how online communities in general do. I've been watching a lot of videos on hyper-consumerism and I think a lot of it is fueled by social media envy. Like with the whole Labubu trend, most of these people are probably watching videos of content creators hunting down Labubus and unboxing them. The viewer then feels FOMO and feels motivated to do the same. If they make a video about it, the cycle continues.

Ironically, toy companies did something similar about 10 years ago. They sent out blind bag toys to toy reviewers on YouTube and found that it help motivate their child audience to buy the toys. However since the crack down of kid's content on YT, I think this happens less often. But it's weird to see this strategy also works on adults.

Regardless if you believe the Bible is written by men or by God, point is, this was written as a rebuke because people have been judgemental on appearances since Biblical times.

Jesus was crucified mainly for exposing the Pharisees.

I don't think that Bible quote justifies your claim but more so rebukes it.

The issue with Blackpill online culture is that they are obsessed with appearances and get stuck in a mindset that "If she got to know me, she would see I am a nice guy." However, he ends up being a biggest asshole and no self awareness and that is what is driving women away, not his appearance.

These same people also judge how women look and don't have the ability to see past less conventionally attractive features on women. They only want the super model girlfriend and then gets upset when she doesn't want to date them.
