I can't stop myself from singing to Feliz Navidad, it's so catchy that it's kinda impossible to not sing along!

I like Carol of the Bells. It's always been my favorite, ever since I was a kid.

I like all the songs that over sexulize Santa. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause and Santa Baby for sure: it makes me think of Santa as everyone’s once a year Sugar Daddy. And I live for it.

18 days later

Can anyone remember the really, really uptempo Christmas song by female singers (singing harmony) - probably a trio? I would guess it was recorded in the 50's or early 60's. I can't remember the name and I can't remember how it goes. I think it has those bells in it like Santa Claus is Coming To Town. It's a lot like Santa Claus is Coming to Town but I don't think it's that particular song, maybe it is? The girls have really good voices - about as good as the Ronettes. I'll keep trying to remember - this could be tough. It might be the one that's Sleigh Ride Together With you or at least like that. I remember now it has that opening horn and then the Ronettes sing it. It was the Ronettes.

Yes, I believe so - I'm not yet 100% sure, but who cares, it's a great song. I love the Ronettes.

We don't listen to Christmas music in our household because one time my brother got stuck in an airport for 6 hours on Christmas eve and now he cries whenever he hears Christmas music.

that....that's pretty screwed up. How does he handle holiday shopping?? How do you get into a holiday mood?? What do you do to spread Christmas cheer?! and I thought retail was scarring ._.)

Lol we can't do a lot of stuff in our house because of my bro... He also loathes jazz music, which is unfortunate because that means I'm not allowed to blast Charlie Parker on repeat everyday :frowning:

i think it might be because he's a really classical pianist? He's pretty serious about reading what's on the sheet and he thinks that when jazz musicians improvise, it's when they don't know how to read off the sheet music properly.

i always though jazz improv required a lot of skill especially when it comes to playing the right notes. Plus you gotta know the sheet music before you can play a song

Exactly! Without improvisations a jazz song wouldn't be "jazz"...

Coltrane's solo at 0:26 is UNREAL. He doesn't even breathe. And not to mention this song goes through 3 key signatures...

(oops I'm getting ahead of myself)

I love coltrane! but yeah that really is true

as someone who's not even that music savvy i know that's a lot of switching up but it's done really well (i'd really like to pick up piano again though)
