Probably the coolest part about webcomics is the idea there are so many different themes in so many different comics, and they can be easily conveyed with your artstyle. Serious? Grim? Wacky?

Post your comic, it's artstyle and possibly what you want it to look more like/improved. Heck, maybe you'll find a new comic with an artstyle you love!

My comic has been said to look very Scott Pilgrim-esque, and I take it as a complement, I love that comic! However, I'm trying to clean up my art and make it look more organized between the vivid colors.

people like to say i have the 'steven universe' style but im really not a fan of that comparison :^/

honestly psshaw and verticaldraws have my favorite styles. Im trying to work up to their level.

I really don't see the SU thing tbh. Your art is incredible dude.

I don't really see Steven Universe except in the bright color choices. That's it. Personally your art reminds me of Chuck Jones with bright Disney style shading mixed with old-school anime (Particularly of Go Nagai, Leiji Matsumoto, and Osamu Tezuka). It's a very emotive style that sells the Sci-Fi feel with exaggerated physical features mixed with over-the-top expressions.

Really...really great stuff.

I am not doing a Webcomic, but I am doing a WebNovel with Light-Novel style images thrown in:

I just..don't have the patience or time for a Webcomic.

I like to think my comic's art style is based primarily on a western-cartoon style? At least, that's what I was going for when I first started to learn how to draw. Now it's just a little bit of a 'whatever' art style. It's supposed to be a little wacky while letting characters still show serious emotions without coming off as narmy.
I'd love to learn how to color properly one day, but for now I'm sticking with B&W. That, and to black-shade with the best of them, like BONE.

For my primary artstyle it's a cross between anime and cartoons. For the one I'm currently using on my series, It's close to Domics and theodd1sout.

But honestly my whole style started out from Extra Credits and the first storytime youtuber I found was Rebbeca Parham (Let me explain studios)

After that I was exposed to the storytime animator community.

If you look at my first chapter, there are some heavy Danny Phantom, Fairly Oddparents, just a generally early Butch Hartman vibe. In my second chapter I move in to a more geometric, better defined style with more shading and attention to detail. I've been drawing in an anime/manga style since I was a kid(and some influences can be seen), but I love western cartoons more. I'm very much influenced by shape language and color coordination. The colors I use tend to be bright and saturated but I trying t work on toning it down.

My comic has a more emotional and character focused story, with its central themes being growing up and adapting to change.
I'm aiming for a style similar to LuigIL's style with a mix of Rebecca Sugar's style.
Some samples from these two:

Here's a sample from my art and my comic's link:

My friend told me that my style is quite strange. She couldn't really find a place for it, saying it's a mix of western cartoon and anime. People also say it has lovely colors.

HELLA HELLA ANIME/EASTERN. My style changes depending on my mood, but generally leans towards the typical BL/manwha style Particular influences include Kizu Natsuki (Given; IwaOi Haikyuu DJs), Powfooo (Various Furry webcomics), Izumi Tsubaki (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun).

Regardless, I think my artstyle is clean and easy to digest, and audiences find it comfortable to approach a familiar landscape.

Honestly I don't really know what my artstyle looks like, I never had people describe it or compare to an artist so I guess my artstyle is forgettable ? :joy:

My comic isn't up yet so I'll post my IG account if that's okay !

My style is mostly inspired by anime. It's now less anime-ish than it used to be, I think. My linearts are messy, but I accepted this long time ago. xD

Your comic is interesting, I will subscribe to it.

Many people said that my art style is very detailed and colorful and some say it is reminiscent to a Persian art style.

My goal of improvement is to make a better background, even though it is time consuming, at least it serves better results than what I have right now.

You can check it out and decide:

I'm not sure, I guess sort of not-quite-anime, produced-in-america-"anime", like Korra or something. I'd like to hear some "your art looks like..." haha it'd be neat to see what it's compared to!

yo your art style is so cute! the most asked question i get when people see me drawing is "do you watch anime haha" and as cool as some anime styles are, it still irks me because i dont think my style is that anime... right?

here's my comic

I'd say "dope" that's what your art looks like :joy:
Honestly you sum it pretty well the "what if anime were made in america" style.

Do you have an IG account ?

I'm...not sure what or how to describe my style. I feel like I'm still figuring it all out. It's just kind of...drawn and there...I feel like it's kind of soft, somehow. Not super dramatic, but it would probably benefit from being more dramatic.

Basically everyone I draw looks round and cute like a baby which I guess is fine since I love babies dfghj. I like to draw in a fluffy style with bright colors, paired together with stories about monsters.

It's expressive, definitely mixed with American cartoons and Japanese mangas (though the coloring style is more aligned to the former, drawing inspiration from cartoons like The Proud Family and Kim Possible).

I'd classify my style as graphic/expressionist but I've been going a little more painterly of late!

My art style is pretty cartoony and angular, mostly inspired by eastern/western (modern) art styles. I really like hard transitions (not painterly), abstract shading.. and that thing where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts? Dunno. I like triangles and hate circles  I think my art kinda looks like a bootleg version of Krooked_Glasses? At least I sure hope so lol.

We stick to a more “gritty” western style. We look a bit of mangas for the action but western indie for most other things. We kind of found our own art style that we feel comfortable with. Rn we’re focusing on adding more environmental designs and improving the overall aesthetic.

I tell everyone; try and work on making your art more "you" and exploring your personal style all the way to the end, because that's what I wanna see, and it's what I try to do.

My art style is more like shounen anime with some dark grim twists to it.. since it is in black and white but I'm a fanatic of that lol

As most who would agree.. is anatomy and perspective(at most 3 point because I wanna do them nice dynamic shots hhh)

There's also color as well though I don't think my series will be in color.. but sometimes I do fool around and do some colored pieces of the pages for practice :3

Hmm my art style was pretty much developed by starting out trying to copy/learn from various styles from anime/manga I liked growing up, and then at some point deviated to become more cartoony and show off my western roots more (I think??)

As for what it's similar to, it's evolved to be somewhat similar (at least in level of complexity/where detail is added/taken away) to Takehito Harada's style, the character artist for several NIS video games such as the Disgaea series:

Also although it doesn't share too many similarities, I love the aesthetic of Tetsuya Nomura's work, and especially some of those sharp edges from his work in The World Ends With You have persisted with the way that I like to render clothes, at least:

I've been told that my art style looks like the following: Late 90's cartoons, Early 2000's cartoons, Flipnote Hatena, some mix of the 3. Personally I differently see the 2000's cartoons and Flipnote Hatena. I have way too many influences so I'm gonna just chock it up to Pokemon

My two biggest influences growing up were Disney animated movies and old 60's Marvel comics. I use a lot of angular shapes and bright colors. Lately I've been really trying to do interesting things with black n shadow.
