I live in the U.S., so...

I hear people are saying July, but my estimate is that we won't really get a handle on this mess until next January. Mark my words...

It will end when enough people get sick (I read it was something like 60-70%) and herd immunity is developed, or someone creates a vaccine. So realistically several months/ a year. It's gonna take long either way because social isolation stops the disease from spreading and thus herd immunity from developing faster, and vaccines take a long time to develop.

World economy on the other hand can't handle a year long lock down so even if things are bad countries are going to eventually ease on the current restrictions. I just hope people finally learn the value of hand washing and face masks. And corporations realize that sick people should be able to stay at home. Regular flu and influenza kill vulnerable people by the thousands already!

People are betting on July where I'm from, but could go up to August or September. But honestly I hope it ends in either mid June or early July for the sake of my wallet.

I love the smell of sanitizer in the morning. You know, one time we had our hand washed, for 12 times a day. When it was all over... we didn't find even one of virus particles, not one stinkin' molecule. The smell, you know that sanitizer smell, the both hands. Smelled like... victory.

I'm Italian. We are starting to breath now after a very very bad period but, though the infection has slowed down, nothing has changed in our lives. We are all still in quarantene and according to forecasts we will maybe start to reopen closed work places at the end of may. We were the first country, out of the Asian continent, to face that disaster and we still have a long way to go. I think this problem will last for quite long time.

I'm so sorry to hear that. i hope everything will be fine very soon. I have some friends from Italian because they was my guests. I heard one of them also died because of the virus.
we're all suffering right now, I believe we can through this!

for virus, it's hard to make a vaccine. even there still some of virus that already exist have no vaccine. it's our immune's job to fight against the virus. so thats why the healing is so slow.

it's so hard. Three weeks ago Have happened shits worst than a horror movie and lot of people died. Now is a little better but , I repeat, is a long way to go. I only hope other countries will learn from what have happened to us. Stay safe guys.

yeah.. same here in indonesia, our death amount is the highest in south east because of our careless.
yeah stay safe and keep positive! i know its hard for being positive, but at least dont get stress.

I'm being optimistic and hoping for July. ;w;

My country haven't been hit that bad by the virus, but we're not good at handling it either. Good news is that less people get infected than specialists thought would.

I've been hearing July or August but I hope it's much sooner than that because I can't stand this and my birthday is in June. :confused:

yeah i know, i also have to go back to work but tourism is literally dead now:(
i know its too early, but happy birthday!

It would be lucky if things get sorted out before July. It might be more realistic to guess August but honestly I don't know. I wouldn't be surprise if things open back up slowly. Tho, to get a proper vaccine could take over a year.

I am a bit worried about the US because there are a good number of people who are not taking it seriously. Some media sources and politicians are pushing misinformation and acting like it's not real and just a conspiracy. A local college had a spike in cases due to them believing this stuff and not closing the campus. People are going to crowded churches and beaches because they think they are magically immune to it. Because of this, it may take the US a bit longer.
