Who are the most famous celebs from your country (actors, singers, etc.)

Oddly enough, I don't feel like there are many celebrities in my country that you just see being mentioned everywhere or have their content circulating around. So I wonder, who is famous in your country (but only celebrities that are FROM your country.)?

XD. I'm 50% from the U.S. too, and we have a TON. a good portion of the global media market comes from the USA.

I´m german, famous germans are either too embarassing to mention or they
are crazy. Popular german music is usually either soft boiled and for an 80+
audience, there is a lot of too embarassing to mention music or it´s very
aggressive

1) Helge Schneider
Famous comedian, he is actually a good jazz musician but he is only popular for
his really trashy produced and crazy songs. It´s impossible to translate his humour.
I like him, he lives in the area where I´m from, hangs out in the bars and talks about
UFOs

2) Heino
Famous singer, he sings Schlager which is horrible music for people over 80
He is a super nice guy, I met him a couple of times. Every granny loves him

3) Rammstein, probably the most famous german band outside of germany

4) Böhse Onkelz, they started as a nazi skinhead band 30 years ago (or more, I don´t know), then changed into a rock
band and announced they are against nazis. The radio didn´t play them, the music tv didn´t show their videos and
that just made them more popular and now they are one of the biggest bands in germany.

5) Klaus Kinski, famous actor a complete lunatic, he freaked out in every interview and must have been very hard to work with
