I know thank inking on the computer is popular now, but I still do it by hand because I have more control that way and my lines are smoother. Anyone else still practices that (supposedly) lost art?

Guilty. I don't like the unnatural lines that a tablet or computer produces. Also, when it's all done, it's nice to have a finished article that exists in the real world. Computers are for colouring only.

I do so. I started to draw my comics around 11-12 years ago (I don't know exactly), so I figured out everything by myself. I feel so old, when I see that others inking with drawing tablet. Once I had the chance to try it at my friend, but it seemed so hard! X.X Sure, it must be cool to ink like that, but for that I think I should slowly learn it, so... and I'm not sure if it would work for me. So I guess I will stay with the old paper and inking pens.

this series hand inks!!!

i ink digitally for convenience, but the intuitive nature of hand inking is so pleasing. i might hand ink a short in the future

I ink by hand too! I find that it gives me more natural looking lines. I will do adjustments and fix inking mistakes on Photoshop though.

@LortiaMJB does both, but mostly traditional inking  like in his comic1, which is worth a look by the way
is merely a writer and flies away

Used to. Certain factors such as me moving and having a much smaller space to work in, plus fascination with digital inks led me to change up. I will eventually get back to traditional inks for some stuff, but my webcomic was a challenge to myself to work completely digital.

I used to ink by hand, but not for comics. I still remember how lazy I was to sketch and draw on tablet, it was so easy and convenient to draw by hand, but since I live in a small house, I don't have much space to put my sketches and drawings lol

I actually started that way, inking with various pens before moving to digital. I think it gave me a lot of invaluable practice with control and confidence.

I started inking my comic digitally, but I don't have enough fine control until I get a screen tablet. For now I ink by hand, scan in, and color digitally.

One comic of mine, I ink by hand, a manga style comic. I even bought The Deleter starter kit.

A lot of my art I ink digitally, but I use the pen tool because I can't do it free hand on a non screen tablet.
I think it's because a screen tablet mimics the way you react with the paper.

I used to do that ... It has a unique feel coz of the ink flow but I feel in love with digital recently.

My comic is completely hand drawn, since traditional art is a lot easier to not fuck up from the get go. I do a few touch ups digitally to make sure it doesn't look weird for the readers but otherwise I do all my inking and lettering and paneling by hand  it has a nice aesthetic to it as well

I don't do it for my current comic because it's a little low-effort and silly. If I'd make one with a serious storyline I'd probably ink by hand! I don't really like the look of digital inking

I ink by hand. I don't own a tablet or anything so I kind of have to. XD Inking with a pen, I feel, is just a lot faster too.
