This may sound like a strange question, but I want to know why people decided to stay on Tapas.

There are many different reasons why people choose a website for their work. So what made you pick Tapas?

Honestly, I'm only here because I've used ever other writing site already, and this is my last stop. I didn't gravitate here for any particular reason. Although, I do enjoy the comics here and it's been motivating for my own artwork =)

Tapas was the first comic-uploading website that I found and it's the reason I started making a webcomic in the first place. Since then I've started posting on Webtoons too and while I get a lot more subs and interaction over there it doesn't have the same sense of community that Tapas does. I've made friends on here that keep my head up and I've watched people succeed like a proud mother.

In the end regardless of your thoughts on Tapas I don't think there's any reason not to stay here, I'd say it's best to do what you've done, Akaluv, and post in as many places as possible to get all the eyes you can on your work.

I came to Tapas because an old site called MangaMagazine/InkBlazers shut down & my comic Osca needed to be uploaded somewhere. So I heard people from MangaMagazine/InkBlazers said that Tapas was the next best website to upload your works. Now, I'm here..... Hi.

I wanted a nice place to upload my friends and my comic and any other comics I end up doing for whatever reason, and Tapas was recommended to me by another user. So I liked the format of the site and thought it'd be a good place to get some feedback and subscribers (bc DeviantART and Tumblr didn't work out)

I read some comics that was here on Tapas, and when I started making my own, I wanted a platform that was easier to upload to and read than DeviantArt. Tapas solved this for me, with it's layout. I also liked that there was a possibility to earn money by posting eventually.

I stayed because of the community. I love how supportive and friendly everyone is!

tapas and webtoons are the only comic platforms i find likeable (and there are only a few so there's not much choice). between the two, i love tapas a lot more. webtoons comics are too anime-ish and the art styles are almost identical, or is it just me? anyway, tapas' web and mobile design is simple and appealing. the environment is friendly, i like the creator-user interaction, the forums is a chill place to hang out, and most of all, the comics have a wide range of art styles and anybody can be featured in the daily snack and staff pick.

I stay on tapastic because it's forum community has been so nice, and very vocal about opinions. I love hearing ideas for my comic so whenever people read it here on tapastic, and offer input it's been invaluable. Also, Tapastic is the easiest way for me to run my webcomic and not have to rely on website coding and what not, so, I didn't have to make my own website.

I came to Tapas to read Unfamiliar and just though it was a really nice site, I was already posting to my comic on Tumblr but decided to post it here too and have since switched to Tapas as my primary platform.
I really like the features for creators, particularly post scheduling and stats, and while you don't get that much customization, it's certainly more than enough. additionally I like the continuous scrolling and side navigation bar which makes reading super easy, especially for new readers. I'm also on Webtoons and they fail on all those fronts. Just for example, I can't see how many comments my comics have unless I go through and check them all, plus the comments and description are below the navigation bar which there's no reason to scroll beyond.

In summation: Tapas is significantly more convenient and well-designed than the alternatives.

For me I think it's the community. I think tapas focuses more on the social element between the creator and their audience than a lot of other sites do and I quite like that.

I started by reading the comics. I can't draw to save my life, but I wished I could post something. When they started hosting novels, I jumped right in.
Basically, I was a viewer before a creator and I liked the set up.

I've been reading Tapas webcomics for a while, but I wasn't immersed in the community because I lacked an account.

Anyway, the book wasn't doing so well on Amazon (no advertising budget) and I needed to give it another round of editing, so I thought about relaunching it as a webserial. It actually started as a webserial, but Reddit at the time was not the place for that.

Of the serial novel platforms that pay, Tapas seems to have the best business model and market share. The other platforms charge too much, aren't as well-known, or both.

It's the hosting platforms for webcomics with the best interface, layout and overall look to me. That's it. I'm not much into any comic hosted here (I read some of them clearly), nor I find it particularly successfull for me so really it's just the look.
The forums are also a nice plus! I like how everyone here tries to discuss something more about the creative process

I'm here because I heard good things and I don't have quite enough content for my own website yet. It's not quite the right niche (as my comics are supposed to be educational) but I reckoned people might enjoy them anyway and it'd give me a bit of feedback.

The breakdown of views, likes etc is really helpful because I can see what is popular and what isn't.

My sibling recommended a comic here, so I was already on the site when I decided that I wanted to post my stuff online. I'm lazy and didn't want to do research, and all of the sites I knew of were for fan-fiction and not original content.

I'm definitely going to stay because I love the community here.

Somebody from another forum mentioned Tapastic as a comic-hosting site, and I was getting back into my own webcomic so I thought "hm, maybe I should check it out!" and then I did. That's pretty much the whole story, lol.

That said, the folks here are quite nice so I'm happy to be here!

I can't remember how I reached tapas exactly (it was tapastic at the time) but I was searching for a place to upload comics rather than using the trash that is dA. I guess I found a list in google of the best sites to upload and tapastic was there, it was rather new and the interfaces were simple with charm, also, it had the majestic translation tool which is now dead 10 meters underground, that was one of the selling points because I upload both in english and spanish...
The site is really nice, I still think some stuff has to get better, but is really comfy compared with other sites, specially spanish sites... which are hell to work with and only allow super low quality works...
