I've had a lot of my friends tell me I write emotions really well, with some people reporting really visceral reactions to certain scenes. I'm really proud of that because I put a lot of work into making my emotional moments impactful, haha.

People also seem to enjoy the nuance I add to my characters, especially villains. I'm really proud of that too because I love writing nuanced villains.

Most of my feedback is that people love my atmospheric descriptions, so we'll go descriptions for what readers like hahaaa! but as people read on, they're also getting really fond of my two main characters and sympathising with how miserable my MC is, and I love that I've made both my boys come across so well! Especially Casper, as he had the potential to be quite unlikeable.

Every time someone comments they want to give him a hug, it makes me smile so much. Evoking those sorts of fluffy feelings is exactly what I set out to do writing.

My favourite thing about my novel is just how Casper's POV lends itself so well to a mixture of gritty descriptions and really snarky internal dialogue. I like writing him being salty about stuff, it's hilarious!

@alexlcuri07 you're soooo good at the emotional scenes too, the one with suri and trenton was just :sob:

@MeLovesTacos ugh I've read far enough now that your vague allusions are making me really nervous!! simon :sob: and considering im not very far in, that says a lot about how well you're making me care about the characters!!

@miss.monocle checked yours out based on this, and it looks really interesting! subbed

People tend to remark on having good action and art and character design. They tend to like how I piece out the information and make them interested for the explanations rather than just giving infodumps or unrealistic exposition. Gotten a LOT of people that like some of my creature design which surprised me. Other than those broad strokes I'm not sure lol

i love writing emotional scenes, i get really into them and if I'm making myself sad writing them, then I know I'm doing a good job of it (when i killed one of my characters i was tearing up writing him talking to his friends while he was dying, it was the worst :sob:)

I love a good nuance in villains! I like seeing people see the growth in characters and their motivations

I teared up when I was writing about the fox dying. I hate animal deaths. I also liked seeing people get sad over it too

clears throat Your story is very vividly written and Casper is a precious bun that we must protect. The date scene is still my favorite so far  He was so awkward and adorable. (you have a very different version of what fluffy means).

I'm always obsessed with dark stories and of course anything BL so those two together are perfect. I'm excited to see where you take Baldy and Willy Wonka in your story.

-my very biased opinion

Well
I liked to write Ray's pov's the most. Just in general, especially the bits that still have to be posted, they're dark and deep and I loved to write that.
But also the part with the Leyum meeting, they were really out of my comfort zone, so I was really proud afterwards

Everyone seems to be commenting a lot in the last scene of Chapter 1! It's the one that changed the least in its many iterations, so it's kind of crazy that 16-year-old-me had the right idea, even if not the right dialogue at the time. And it's extremely fun to draw, so I'm happy :blusht:

fans self oh you're flattering me :hohoho: and don't worry, my weird darkfluff will be returning soon, less deserving of the name fluff than ever  that date scene was like my favourite thing in existence to write though

ty for your biased opinion (and let's not even talk about how awkward and adorable aderran is :eyes:)

@Iris-Grimoire sometimes your crazy teenself just clocks in a moment of brilliance and you wonder how they managed it when everything else is just edgelord extraordinaire

For me, I'm not sure really, but in comments I see that persons that read my novel mention the scenes fight,

Something like that :point_up_2:
And also I think they like the length of the episodes, without forgetting the different style of writing the story .

This what I think and thanks

People seem to like that the first few pages of Dragon Sparking were in Pixel-Art and had Norse Mythology influences. Got a fair few comments on that.

Also people seem to hate my villains, especially Erick. Which makes me happy because I work hard on making them unlikeable. By contrast, they frequently root for the main characters in their battles, so that makes me happy too.

My last few releases have gotten some good feedback on the sadder emotional content, so yay for that.

Edit: uhm...was this for Novels only? My bad if so.

@miss.monocle I love your art style and a good slice of life. Also, you have great premise

@IndigoShirtProd your art style is SO vibrant, I love it

@WolfUnderTheMoon89 I can't wait to get more into yours! I try to cycle through everyone's but yours is towards the top that I keep coming back to

@sxxaint I'm not talking to you about fluff anymore  but please go on about my awkward boy :hohoho: (who is about to get more awkward)

@Iris-Grimoire sometimes the best ideas are happy accidents

@joannekwan I love character driven stories and that's my favorite thing to see in stories I read as well as what I put into my stories. I want my readers to almost feel like a fly on the wall when reading character interactions

Not everyone likes my story LOL
Not even myself.
But some read it because

  • Atmospheric description of the setting, although it can be overwhelming to some.
  • Original world building with magic and power system that are not forced into the story or felt like a separate entity.
  • From what I have seen they are pretty invested in and liking some characters, so probably the portrayal of the characters. I try to make them as realistic and accurate as possible.
  • It is being a weird story that might have less clichés and tropes played straight; thus adds to its freshness.
  • It had a nice cover (I changed the cover though, but it is still exists in episode thumbnail)

This is a review6 so I am not spewing bullshit (Also please support the one making the review, they do a good job for everyone)
