I did cus the intial question is obvious and no one whose been on tapas long enough would generally ask this. People just want to MM relation ships only and the LGBT tag infers other types or focus on other aspects of being queer that is not romance. Kinda why the gay and lesbian tag on amazon has alot more stuff than the general LGBTQ tag. And the BL tag has been there longer cus people complained about so much gay stuff in the romance genre... yeah

Originally BL, GL, and LGBTQ were not genre options. They were added later because the most popular genre on the site was Romance and the site wanted to find a better way to organize them. Originally people would put BL or GL on their thumbnails. Also with them adding BL, the site also introducing more BL premium series.

The majority of readers on Tapas are young women. And because of that, BL, hetero romance, bi-shonen, and fantasy with female leads tend to be the most popular.

Personally i would not compare cheesy cringe romatic stereotypes (cus thats most of what i can assume is being talked about not bl stereotypes romance stereotypes. Of bad boys, cant spit it out, mild to moderate sub-dom motifs cus really that's what it is in alot of bl based stuff.
