I don’t think people understand the amount of pressure and responsibilities you have running a county, I get stressed out enough just being a manager of a lab. I don’t wanna be responsible for thousands of people
Besides I enjoy the idea of being a monk like person who cannot be beat but also never fights anyone XD as I super avoid physical fights
Very true, I already get random headaches without a job. Imagine having to fix more than one's own problems...and the catch is if they make one wrong move, the nation follows. Pleasing so many people would be too difficult and dealing with noblemen who might want the throne?
I think I'll end up becoming an insane tyrant whose death is reasonable.
Then, there are puppet kings. Being controlled is not nice so a free warrior it is!

Ah, I have watched an Asian drama where one traveling monk cannot be defeated but he never kills since killing isn't really what they promote. I think he pretends to be injured during physical fights so others would think he's a wannabe protector of the weak. So, he could have been the best warrior of the nation, but he let someone else carry the target.
Being a warrior of the mind is also something to consider. If I can always beat my opponents before we get physical, that'll be great.
I shall be a King. (It's only fitting since my IRL middle name is King xD)
My personal guards would all be undefeated warriors who I would treat so well that they'd have no choice but to love me. But the rest of the kingdom better be prepared to suffer. I will not be merciful or forgiving to those who dissent my rule.
A powerful queen. It's a start, not a stationary role. Probably wouldn't be an undefeated warrior for long, probably dead; as a queen I could land a nice role as the cool mission control that orders the heroes to explore cool places and defeat the evil oppressing empire. I could also BE the empire but uh I'll pass.
@ThreeeTreees ooooh the gold! Everyone loves to make money doing what comes easiest to them. A name would be cool too. Many books and shows have such badass names for champions.
~~~
@dragonsparking Wow, that's so cool! (And here I am with no middle name lol)
Huh, having your subordinates love you is a safe move. As long as you're not a tyrant or lazy king, your people would probably not rebel. Even if they do, your warriors would protect you until you don't have subjects left. XP
@Iris-Grimoire cool! There's never anything wrong with sending people off and ordering them around. Also, I guess being a ruler wouldn't be physically gruelling. Just have to ensure your mind stays stable throughout your rule. Being the empire would be interesting
Hmmm I think both have pretty had romance lives if we're talking about the realest lives for them. In novels, both can have pretty passionate love lives. It all depends on what you would consider a desirable romance life too and the conditions around the monarch/warrior.
Cool. I wonder if the warrior option is more attractive because of the 'undefeated' part.
Weeeeeell seeing as how the queens, princes, princesses, etc. in my comic tend to have some real fcked up experiences, I'm gonna have to with undefeated warrior. Writing for the characters has left an undesirable mark on how I view these positions lmao
Besides, how cool would being a warrior be? I think being a ruler would quickly get boring and stressful.
@oshirockingham Both have huge advantages and disadvantages. I started this thread with those because i knew one option would be more appealing.
@remsleep good reason!
~~~
@AVXP oh, your secret has been spilled! Now, someone must make a stronger army.

@kellychen
~~~
@DualDragons hmm I haven't thought much about that! Great reason!
~~~
@Kiweevil ah, that's interesting. I didn't know writing something could affect how some view things. I'm writing an undefeated warrior who has experienced and will experience some crap, but I still like the idea of being an undefeated warrior.
Yeah, I think both are cool in some way but so far, warrior for the win!
~~~
@azzy-m Ah, same. I'm the type to go rogue but will never lead others. Warriors do get awesome weapons or if they're very confident, fighting with twigs seems epic.
Thank you for all your amazing comments, day one was a success! Now, on to day 2 of Would You Rather...
Day 2 of Would You Rather: Kinda Wacky Fantasy Prompt
- Have a narwhal as your mount
or - Have a unicorn as your mount
(They both have single horns that look similar to each other, but one lives on land and the other lives in the sea. One is relatively large and real while the other is elegant and mythical)
