I'm sad to say that my creativity has been halted beyond making up silly supernatural scenarios.

Ever since starting school, I think I've written 97 words for anything that wasn't homework. I need to find more time to write just for me. Thanksgiving is coming up, so I'll have a long break from school that I can hopefully use (if I'm not sleeping).

97 words

What if you could make that amount of effort count toward something?

I've tried doing colab stuff before, but it wasn't really for me. I get too stressed out about whether or not I've overstepped somewhere, and I always want writing to be un-stressful.

Thank you for the suggestion though.

Out of sheer curiousity, what website was it?

I think we might be both submitting for the same contest :open_mouth:

I've been writing a ton. I'm entering two contests/anthologies, as well as writing and editing some collaboration comics. I've also been writing some monthly Devil on my shoulder stories in advance since I won't have access to a computer in December.

Soooo I've been super busy

Im editing through the next few chapters of my story and considering more ways i could take the story, and other projects, trying my best to edit well as its not something im good at, browsing the forums a lot and looking for cool opportunities to interact with the community and other creative folk more

hampered by some pretty intense impostor syndrome after a big boost to my viewership and subscribers practically before i even started properly releasing parts to my story, feel like i dont deserve the attention and that i got the following its gotten currently unfairly by being lucky and getting featured on new and noteworthy, but i am grateful, and im doing my best to turn it into a motivating force!

I just gathered the guts to start posting my writing alongside my comics, so that's where I'm at right now. Used to try and sell Ebooks, but that wasn't working too well, so I was like whatever I'll post it for free and see where it goes. I'm just building writing foundation lol.

I haven't mentioned it here much, but I wrote a superhero story called Hero's Dilemma, and am now working on the sequel/spin-off, Prism's Journey.

I'm planning to barf words as much as I possibly can come NaNoWriMo. (Anyone else doing NaNo this year?)
But that will be a new project, unrelated to Hero's Dilemma.

I just recently decided to participate in NaNoWriMo. I have a story that I've been working on for a long while, ( I haven't actually posted here yet. I'm new) But instead of using that story, I'm going to work on a fairly new idea that popped up in my head and see how that goes.

Plotting is so much fun! I'm plotting out one of my stories, too =)

I know Predator, but I don't know what Seven Samurai is. Either way, the mention of Predator got me interested.

It's the Akira Kurosawa movie that inspired The Magnificent Seven, A Bug's Life, Galaxy Quest, and many others. The 1954 film is in black-and-white but it feels very much like a modern action flick.

@Eleven_MA The website is Writing.com. It's a private site that requires a paid membership to get more features. Honestly, it's the only writing website I've found that's like a true writing site.

There is no competition for reads, likes, and subs. It's purely about the writing. When I focused on that website, my writing actually improved. Since I don't have many subs or anyone to review my work here, I decided to be active on Writing.com again.

I already completed one writing assignment and found three horror writing contests to enter. ^___^

You shouldn't feel bad about getting noticed =)

It's always good when readers notice your work. When I got New & Noteworthy, it was an exciting time.

Good luck!!!

If I find anything interesting, I may try submitting a short story

My problem is rejection scares me =(
