Being questioning is all fine and dandy, take as long as you need.
And yeah I think BL actually is part of the reason we get bad rep. But I don't think we should play it off as a "BL NEEDS TO GO AWAY!" thing. Tapas is a very progressive site with progressive content, and if you promote progressive content, then people that are scared of change will react to that.
When homophobes see tons of gay guys kissing they'll put on their "i'm offended" panties and run off to reddit to talk to their bros about it. Honestly, those are audience members I think we can gladly do without. The tapas community is loving and accepting and doesn't need to be polluted with the people who can't handle the sight of gender nonconforming or gay people.
Also some people do view trans people as unpleasant to be around, but we shouldn't step down or be less visible for that reason. People have DIED for the few rights we have thus far, we can't let their sacrifice be in vain. Education, visibility and improvement of human rights is not a bad thing and not a shameful cause.
