Your biggest dreams or goals as a creator?

But yeah, somehow people seem to forget that life is both tragedy AND comedy and tend to glorify stories where everything is so grimdark it seems permanently stuck in a black hole. A lot of it is simple pretentiousness, I might add. Like, "marvel at how edgy and raw this story is, everyone is abused and killed in horrible ways and then a stray dog pisses on their dead body, what a splendid nihilistic analogy of the misery of human existence!". Snort. The thing is, most people are well aware that life is sometimes cruel and often unfair. A lot of people don't need a reminder of the problems they face and I think it's very wrong to mock them for needing escapism. After all, it is the easiest thing in the world to make someone feel bad but the opposite, the opposite is much harder.

As for the female characters, I suppose I wasn't very clear. It's not just the lack of women and diversity; the mainstream portrayals of female-centric stories are often hella problematic. To borrow from pop film culture, I want more Hunger Games, less Sucker Punch and NO 50 shades of shit at all!

My goal? Is actually to finish them! I've been drawing my first comic for around 9 (?) years, and I still have 8 chapters left! XD I wanna share as much stories I can with people, and make them to like my mangas. I probably can't publish my ongoing series because of the bad quality of my pages (I had no idea about printing process when I was 15 ^^;), but I'm planning to self-publish my next manga. And I wanna sell some fan-stuff like calendars, notebooks, T-shirts, etc.
But my main goal is self-publishing. I really want that

My biggest dreams and goal as an artist is to be able to make comics of my stories, and if i am able to i would love to get them turned in to a cartoon, which would be easy because the animators have a story to follow by a little bit.
(P.S. of course have lots of merchandise if anyone likes my work :3)

When i was young and before i went to college i just wanted to make my own cartoons, but the older i got and the more i was experiencing life, i realized that maybe i should make a comic so that i have my story out on paper or some physical proof of it. I was noticing that many cartoons were comics/manga first and that is who their stories got out to the public first so i had to re-think my plan of doing a comic instead, i really hope that it can work (i am still in the beginning stages but my passion is like fire, the more its spreads that bigger its grows and i want to spread my art to comics more often then i use it.

To be remembered.

I think that's my biggest dream. I want to create good stories and comic that many people would remember for a long time, and just keep creating a better one until i'm unable to write or draw again

^This! Also there are always the goals/dreams of my comics being animated or getting a large audience, but these two don't matter to me as much, they're merely perks in the artistic journey and they are good things! :') But I think in addition with my stories being remembered, is a large goal is to see where my stories can take me. Like for example, if I can afford to go to conventions in different locations that would be amazing!!! Could you imagine traveling across the country going to convention to convention!??! EPIC!! Sharing my stories/art while traveling and meeting like-minded people has always been a huge motivator behind each creation :'D

Yeah, I hear you re: representations of women. I think that's the exciting thing about being a creator; you can create the kind of content that you feel is missing. I guess relating this back to the original topic question, I love it when readers give me feedback that reassures me I am on track with my story, whether it's marveling that Sara isn't the typical ditzy shoujo heroine or noting the underlying depth to a seemingly trite premise.

My goal is to see my webcomic become a successful property in the near future & get turned in to a proper anime series made in Japan. I know it's wishful thinking but I do believe if you work hard towards your dreams nothing is impossible.

One of my biggest dreams as a creator is that I hope that webcomic, and perhaps any story I may create in the future, would inspire someone to follow their dreams and not give up. That, and I hope that one day my webcomic would become an anime or live action series that people would love to see and watch.

I got a personal goal and big goal really.

Personal: Well it's pretty unrealistic, but hey a guy can dream. If one of my comics was turned into a movie that would be incredible. More realistically, I'd like to have a booth at comic con.

Big goal: To inspire people. Too much of the media depicts heroes as a certain type of person. I want to show everyone that no matter their age, race, gender, sexuality, religion, anything they can be beautiful and incredible too. If I could inspire just one person to do something great, or even just to not give up, I'd be happy with that. Because no one deserves to feel like they're worthless.

I think almost all of us have something in common, we would like to be paid of our work and live with it, it would be really nice, specially since the only boss is yourself.
Now, my goals, I would like to my comic become big, to have many fans who will enjoy it and also inspire them to create their own stories, have people cosplaying my charas( BECAUSE WHY NOT?!), also... uhm this is more personal, but because of the things in content in my comic, I would like... ghh this is difficult to explain, but like, if someone is having a bad time due to any kind of thing in real life, I would like that my comic could work as support for that person to at least have more hope and get through something.
And in other goals, an animation or a videogame, would be such amazing thing and I would quit for everything if it's ever done (not really fo course!) or a movie too.

I guess printing a book and getting support for my work would be awesome but what I really want is to share these adventures to the world.
