Not released, but: Six adventurers travel down into a deep pit under a suspicious house wherein they must face tempting illusions, elusive beasts, and each other.

That is like, my worst nightmare lol. It was hard enough just writing a description for my actual comic, since there is so much going on. When people ask what it's about, I usually just say:
"A reaper, like the grim reaper, instead he's small and fuzzy and cute, and he saves children. And one day, he unexpectedly becomes the legal guardian of a very innocent human girl after saving her."

But that honestly doesn't scratch the surface, because there's a bigger story at play about the turf wars of a psychically-gifted queen and the young cannibalistic princess who's father she murdered. About a secret organized crime group who knows how to universe-hop and steals and uses the blood of humans in order to do it. A reptillian beast who uses everyone like a puppet so that he can play God.

There's waaaaay too much sh:cat:t going on to pitch in a sentence or two lmao.

In the 21st Century, the crumbling United States is taken over by The French and Japanese. In this Hafestran-American country, a new family of state executioners reigns supreme.

However Hemato doesn't want the job. But her girlfriend is a parricidal murderess.

It's taken me around 10 years of writing about my comic to develop an elevator pitch I actually like. It's hard to choose what to focus on when you have multiple POV characters, multiple settings, and a lot going on.

:snowflake:️General Auryn Tyrus works to expose an emperor who claims to have swallowed the sun as a fraud, despite knowing what’ll happen if he gets caught. :snowflake:

Idk anyone who says they're not into elevator pitches should really try giving it a go, they're a great way to try to distill what you're trying to say without getting buried under the heft of your own plot.

Like, mine is 'Six millennials from an insurance company accidentally become the greek gods.'

Back when I had an actual elevator in my work: They go up the elevator, they go down the elevator. The end.

Proper pitch:

For the first chapter: A young woman on a date with a coworker, is caught in the middle of the invasion of her home city, and the total ramification of being occupied by a foreign power, when it was once thought the US was invincible.

A sub plot line of how Marine La Pen has planned a covert invasion of the US, occupying economic importation vessels in space, and sending an elite division of the Space Seals to climb down like ninjas for a coup.

Note: This is for the prologue, that sets up the dystopian setting.

What could be more romantic than dancing with a gorgeous man? It's too sweet... to die for.

a chosen one story where the protagonist is not the chosen one.

always been my elevator pitch xD

"It's like Naruto for grown ups with an Arthurian legends theme, only Naruto is Leslie Knope from Parks & Rec and Sasuke is lesbian Hermione Ganger and they have complicated feelings about politics and relationships while fighting demons."

Imagine the culture shock an alien would receive if he crash landed on earth. Moreover, many bad men are who know of his existence are searching for him. With foes outnumbering friends, this alien must overcome hurdles to repair his ship and get out of earth.

Here's mine for my latest novel!

Unravel the secrets and mysteries hidden in a small town through the eyes of a singer, a policeman, and a school counselor. Clues to the subsequent murders are hidden in human relationships of the past and the dark abyss of the Internet!

My pitch would be: Veraque is a modern Fantasy story that takes place in a world where your ethnicity dictates the type of superpower you are born with. It stars a 25 year old criminal rising up to stop the genocidal movement of a powerful, vile man.

1) A defeated queen finds herself in the harem of the man who killed her family and captured her kingdom... but he isn't aware of who she is or the fact that she's out to kill him.

2) One winter night, a lonely boy with a heart of gold meets a homeless man who changes his life forever and gives him the home he never knew he needed.

"Jade Kingdoms, while a fantasy-rich horror story, is a critical note on domestic abuse and mental health decline, specifically in cultures where any questions about it are silenced."

I sadly have a personal stake in telling this story, but I hope it will offer hope to those still struggling.
