I was wondering who is your favorite OC. Out of all the characters you ever made pick one. My favorite is Zethero from my comic Seishin Patona1. He is smart and has quite the silver tongue. He is determined to help others even if you has to break the law or make people hate him for it.

I love his hair! I don't have any OCs at the moment but I'd like to see everyone's favourites.

My Favorite OC from my series Nitou-Ryu is Sakura who is a shy young Oni (Japanese Ogre) with a gentle heart. (^^)

...Would someone explain to me why people still call their characters "OC"s though?
I thought it's a term for fan characters in existing IPs? (Naruto OCs and so on)
If you have a stand alone comic, isn't your character an "original" character by default anyway? : D

(And to answer the topic in question, I'm most attached to our dysfunctional protagonist Dan, of course - especially since I've had him for years before the comic5 even started.)

Is this OUR ocs? Or our favorite OC from other people?

Our own OCs. I think preferably from a comic here on Tapastic?
edit: Doesn't have to be hosted here

OC are "Original Characters" but, calling the"original" character also works. I like the character you have here, he is like most of us who visit the internet. We want to validate our existence to strangers ans friends alike.

The way your OC is like she is like one of my past characters Eota. She was also shy yet kind, putting herself in danger to help others (as long as it had nothing to do with being social.)

Safest bet at any given time is Adam, largely by seniority - he's one of my oldest characters, and among my oldest characters he's the one with the most development. I always go back to Adam. Over the years he's alternated between being an antagonist and a protagonist, but his actual personality and story haven't changed much. He's a biologist with little capacity for sentimentality, a grand total of one (1) non-professional relationship, and a whole lot of patience. I'd post a picture but I'd have to do some digging to find one, and the payoff would be my art style from 2011 or something, and I don't want to look at that. :,^)

Recently, though, the ones who've been holding my interest are Al and Nick from Powerless Gods - two characters who have yet to be introduced. Al's an interesting character to write and draw, especially with the particular difficulties of illustrating the way he emotes - he wears a shaped mask that puts facial expressions out of the question, and since his legs don't bend at the knee and various other body parts don't function normally his body language is kind of wonky.
Nick's just really different from the majority of my characters. He's friendly and trusting, and I don't get to write that a lot - plus some of his particular problems are really personal to me.

ALEX from Creep! He's the most fun to write for, since he's kind of snarky and usually pretty upbeat. Admittedly, he can get pretty moody and demanding when things don't go his way... but that just makes him even more fun to write for!

I'm not sure if he counts as an OC, as technically anything based on Greek Mythology is basically fanfiction, but Odysseus is such a fun character to write for! He's an over-confident ladies' man who expects everyone to love him (though to be fair, they usually do). However Polyphemus (from my comic of the same name) is my favourite in terms of his whole character. There's so much to his story that most people have never heard about, and he's every bit the tragic Greek hero... Except without the whole recognition part. Hopefully my comic will tell his story well, and everyone will know why he's such a great character! And why I cry whenever he appears in films or books. :')

Adam seems like my older OCs Eota where she has appeared in countless stories but, her personality didn't change much. Her backstory changed based on the scenario of the story.

I believe having characters that the creator themselves can relate to is very important because you will be seeing them alot. That's why I add a little of myself in every character I make.
