Same for like, 90% of beginner and amateur artist. I’m pretty sure they have like, a hatred for newer artist too.

I'm not biased (maybe a little) but I don't think there such a thing as an ugly color just a lack of knowledge on how to put it to use

like not to go on too long about it but i just don't think there's such thing as a bad color like i've seen some shades of green get a lot of hate on their own but paired with the right compliments they can look really good and the same for a lot of yellows and especially browns. i also think it's a mindset thing and probably even has a little to do with psychology and what people associate certain colors with

If I think about it, I don't really like yellowish browns, but I can see them work in a color palette if someone's going for certain moods and feeling. I also can see colors I love totally not working in an art piece at all.

Like this is apparently the ugliest color in the world.

But I could see it work in some nature-themed art with forest and such.

I totally cannot do a clean lineart, so I've embraced it and I'm happier since then. Polish works for some people, but I am not one of those people. xD

This here is the thing.
I have a preference for rough linework on comics, specifically. If it's too perfect it can feel weirdly stiff (there are exceptions, of course) but if there's even a hint of roughness then it lends a little life to the work.
Less like a polished picture from a human mind and more like a moment in progress that's moving and flowing right before you. The artist hurrying to catch it before the moment has passed.

that is a canvas' color. you can use white ink on it.

I'm not biased but I really dislike the word "smirk" in writing and will go out of my way to avoid using it.

The word didn't do anything wrong, but it was ruined for me by every edgy, snarky asshole love interest written by the teenage fanfiction-writers on the my old writers' forum. :')
