Oh man, so this character is one I made in 6th grade (back in 2006, I'm 22 now)

Tzuba has gone through soooo many designs. He is the one character that I HAVE to eventually make a comic with. The comic I am making now is just to basically get into the swing of making comics and to get before I start the story I've always wanted to do. I want to make it my magnum opus lol.

My comic, Slim Piggy, has only been in development for a year (which is probably the fastest project I've ever done) but for what it's worth, here's my main protagonist, Jason Mason, as drawn back in December 2014 and a more recent drawing of what he looks like after a year of messing around : )

Isaac has changed a lot since I started... Definitely for the better!

Whoa wait I really haven't posted in this? Dayum.
Alas my current comic is too new so the characters' changes are too minimal and more part of the whole "working out design" thing rather than me changing and re-designing them later.

The biggest and also most amusing change to an OC I did was to my bias Zero:

You can see a WIP from an old ref I decided to include in his current one. I basically removed his arms and made him look like a kid, lol.
It's not his oldest design though.

idr how old it is but it should be early high-school so like 2010-2011 maybe. Basically since then I just moved his scarf to his waist and my style changed. I really wanna use "oversized pins" in a character design though...

Mines has always been the same except by the hoodie. It would have bumps to resemble that behind my hood is inflated nowadays, yet at times it's not.

This is from a long running series that i still haven´t published ,but she´s the character i would call "THE OC"
she´s called Aura
Then:

Now:

the settings of both versions also changed and are nothing alike, the old one was set on a postapocalyptic world, the current one is even set in my own city!, the old one actually was a single drawing i did out of boredom but i fleshed the character for a different story

Here's a character of mine through the ages! A history of different styles of mine!

Here's some sort of an evolution.
This is Osirunet. "She" (neither a boy or a girl, althouh she looks very much likea girl) has one of the lead roles in both Squidology and my other series. The first time I drew her she was mostly based on the guys on the cover of Black Sabbath's Never say die album.
This is from early January 2013.

But then "she" sort of awakens and throws away all the mechanical equipment she thought she needed to survive.

Then she gets colors! And ridiculously long hair.

And some new clothes, and a malevolent mental twin.

The clothes keep on changing a few times. More physical changes is on the way. This is from February 2014

Here's from Al Khemet. In general "her" physical appearance have gotten more realistic, but "her" face remains very simplified.
This is from November 2015

The last project I completed with "her" was "Below". This is from early December 2015.

And this guy haspretty much always been this guy. From the first appearance in a comic in 2012 till now.

This is the last drawing I made of them together. From a meta fiction called I killed Giger.

I´ll take one of my realy old stories, since I might start working on that one when my current project is finished ^^
These are my charakters. I kinda startet drawing 2012 with them, was on a very mangaish side, mostly because everything else I drew seriously looked like shit. I redrew them last year cause I was about to restart the comic, but then delayed it again mostly because of bad plaining..

main charakter Jamie:

supporting main charakter Laelole:

comik pages now and then:

There´s so much crazy shit going on in this comik. It should be worth a try. ( the thing is, my first attemp to draw the comik was 90 pages, which was pretty much back then.) But that´s only 20 pages of the 140 pages book I wrote. Do the math. Also, there would be even more pages in the new version. aaand. the first book is followed by two other books until the story is definitly told!

Though the old one doesn't look that bad, and the newest one might even look worse to you. The old one really sucks! I couldn't draw the same faces again, I had no specific idea about the artstyle, the story or their wardrobes and they didn't have personalities. Now I have thought out their personalities and style and have the entire story written down.

The old page has really cool coloring style, but it took me an entire day. The anatomy sucks and I didn't quite understand what style I was going for, so it's very inconsistent. The new page looks a bit duller, but I got this style down, it took me only 2 hours to make, and it's gonna look good as a total! blush

I'm planning on releasing the comic this summer, but I'm not sure yet.

my character Enkido has been under development prior to 2014, but could't find any pre-2014 stuff among the wreckage of old stuff.. the name was "Kid" at first, then i changed it to Enkido, like the mythological hero "Enkidu" from the Ancient Mesopotamian "Epic of Gilgamesh"
the name was so cool, similar to "Kid" and he shared a lot of traits with my character too, so the name "Enkido" fit so well when i started the 2016 series under the same name...

two of my oldest characters in my current comic SPIRE2 have gone through some serious development. they were originally from a character tournament over on deviantart and i got so attached to them i made them part of a bigger story. i've got certain parts from the original tournament comic that i'm redrawing since their intros are more or less still similar.

my character William will be appearing in the next update, he was originally a weak anxiety ridden Sad Boy(TM) uninteresting vampire who just really wants to bang his robot friend for some reason ??? now he's still anxiety ridden but way more competent and a lot dorkier and now has a stable backstory, also his relationship with robot friend is platonic now because putting them in a romantic ship was a really weird plan. He's also a lot more important in the grand scheme of things in the comic.

(this page isn't finished yet!!!!)

Cog probably had the most development out of the two, she used to be this awful angry robot who hung around william for no apparent reason other than to beat him up because Humor LoL. she was a terrible friend and also had this awful jacket with one and a half sleeves?? also way overpowered. now she's the mom friend and will protect william at all costs, she's really emotionally attached to him (and he is to her too, both platonically), and she's also in the process of deteriorating internally because she's a really old robot model. their relationship is honestly way more healthy now and i adore writing it.

(from my comic outline/storyboard)

From 2005

Now

(OK, I really at one point need to make colored character sheet cus this was the best colored images I had of them)

Shay, the MC of a project currently on hiatus. (can't find the psd for the latter ;-; Also he didn't lose an eye, I just got lazy)
