Hi

I write novels and novel accessories. Be sure to check out Guardium: a sci-fi epic which mixes Greek mythology with the likes of Star Wars and Mass Effect.

feel free to throw any of your novels here, I'm looking for some new reads. and just in case you're interested, here's my new novel i just put up today: The Witching Hour!!

It’s hit and miss. Some stories I look at (and some of them are outside the club) blow me away. Some are hard to read. One I refuse to read because it drove me up the wall... I know that patchy reading is not the best habit, but I am exposed to so many stories each week it helps my writing. I als…

I've never seen it, I'll have to look it up one day.

This is why I go through and individually choose which things get edited. Grammarly will offer certain suggestions regarding sentence structure and unless I see one I just really like I usually choose to ignore it. Punctuation issues and sentence fragments are primarily what I use it for anyway.

OMG Thank you, that you enjoy her and my world. I was kinda afraid it would be abit too... out there in terms of a world. Yeah about the earlier episodes, those are pretty old in terms of when they were written. I intend to go back eventually once I finish writing 2/3 of my story to rework them wi…

This is why I don't do everything that Grammarly tells me to do.

That’s my answer as well. I use ProWritingAid, free version, and treat its corrections as suggestions. Also, I disagree with all prose feeling the same. I read quite a bit of books every day through club I am in, and I see everything, from ornate prose to deeply layered one to barely understandab…

If tapas would allow us one word responses this would be mine: Yup.

Years ago when I worked for a magazine I had to interview an actress about a film she was in. She had the script with her on the table. I'll never forget this, as she spoke to me she put her hand on the script and softly ran her hand over it. I thought, that's how I want to write, I want to write so…

I'm not well-versed in the novels department (neither specifically on Tapas nor in general), but I'd like to add my 2 cents from the comic perspective because I'm absolutely seeing a similar issue there too. A huge "problem" with dialogue in particular is that a lot of people don't write how peop…

I only use Grammarly for basic editing and spellcheck, but I always check the suggestions before I approve them. I read a quote that said something to the effect that the written word has rhythm and we should vary sentence length. (There was more to it than that) Anyway, I always try to think of the…

I haven't had that happen here but I have received it elsewhere. That's why when I hear someone say "What I would do..." I tend to shut down because they're not writing it, I am. On the other hand one of my beta readers can do that because they're "what I would do" is more along the lines of: "Wha…

I, too, refuse. And I have frightened the cat all too often screaming at Word that a one word sentence is perfectly acceptable. Agreed. It's a tool, nothing more and it is not meant to replace anything. I've seen ads where a sentence is reduced down to the blandest of the bland by a program and …

I refuse to use Grammarly (or other grammar software) for this exact reason. I have a pretty good hold on grammar rules, and if I break them, it's intentional about 99% of the time. I get tired of even Word telling me that a sentence fragment is unacceptable; I created that sentence fragment on purp…

Agree, agree, agree. I remember when I first started writing professionally someone asked me: Who do you write like? they were not happy about my answer, "Me." But I must say, I've always enjoyed a good "turn of phrase" and I'm not seeing as much as I used to. Of course these things, like ever…

As someone who's grammar pretty much sucks I have always been happy to see programs such as Grammarly, etc. But I've noticed something lately. I've noticed a certain "homogenous" feel to a lot of writing that I'm seeing. It's as if you can pick out the program that the writer has chosen to refine …

Okay since I have read I would like to preface my feed back with this. I don't normally read scifi or novels on this site. Albite with scifi mostly due to the lack of its prominence on this site period. I like your main character Illians. he, despite being an every man, peppers his narration wit…

I lost a bet, and now I need to write a BL series that is at least 10 chapters long. Obviously the goal is mainly to have fun, but I'd also like to make it good. Does anyone have any advice? I have a generic fantasy-comedy series on Tapas already, so I have a small amount of experience on using t…

“In the bazaar, by the great gates... yesterday, after the noonday meal...” https://tapas.io/episode/2026824

“It smells great,” Allura commented while sitting beside Flora, but Axis didn’t notice any pleasant aroma.

I didn’t start that story on Wattpad. For now, it’s only posted on here. I have two that are duplicated on both sites, and 5 others that are only on Wattpad. I am not that keen on bringing the older stuff here, particularly the longer novels because of the italics problem on Tapas. Because of …

Hey guys,if you're interested in promoting your story post it here ....it's sub for sub, likes for likes. Don't post if you are not going to promote other people's stories, ofcourse they'll promote your story too... Here's mine..

I've been watching a lot of old movies lately and wanted to recommend a few of my favorites. These movies are funny with twists you'd never expect. If you loved The Apple Dumpling Gang, you'll love them in "Private Eyes". This movie has everything: an heiress with a gambling addiction, car accide…

Thank you! I read the first episode of your novel and I liked it a lot, so I subbed too

I'm on Wattpad but I seen to publish my book there at the wrong time. I started putting my focus on around here since I completed my first story. Now all the rest of my work is going to be on here for now on. Here is my book:

I ultimately left Wattpad because I wanted a grown up audience. Everyone expected my series to feature a bunch of teenagers, not adults.

What always makes me wonder if it’s worth it cross-posting on both platforms, or just keep different books in different places. Like, at the moment my mafia stuff is on both sites, doing better here, but the first book is a tiny bit alive there. The second book is stone-cold dead there. My werew…

I stopped going a lot on Wattpad when they shut down the forums and Newsfeed. Moved to Tapas, Scribble Hub, and Inkitt some time ago. Still in the process of moving my work.
