I think it depends on the game. If you've ever played Dragon Quest it's pretty clear that the characters know they've died. Fallen party members show as coffins and you typically have to have a priest revive them.

My favorite part of my comic is anytime I get to draw a monster or something obscure and weird. And just go nuts with it. My least favorite part is the line art. Definitely the line art, I'm one of those scratchy drawers so getting it nice and clean is a real pain.

Whenever I get this problem I put the panel off to the side for the time being and work on a different panel. We all have good days and bad days, try to tackle the difficult poses on your better days. If that doesn't work, I'll try drawing it traditionally. Things feel different traditionally.
