But if working at Tapas HQ is just an option, can people outside of the US still apply to work from home?
oh...well...that's what I thought...too bad, but it seems logical indeed.
It seams like a great initiative ! I hope it works well and you'll do it again next year (I'm just curious about it, but imagine someone would come just for a couple of month with a tourist visa, will it be illegal to go working at tapas for this time period, even as a freelancer?)
Hey it's nice to see there are more youtube channels about webcomics out there !
I have one myself with Marvin where we make webcomics reviews : Blop&Marvin
That seems so much more sensible to me... I mean first refusal right seems like a big thing that should be negotiate over a real contract...
Aaaand here's our brand new review at last ! It's about Jamie by NDGO, go read it if you don't know it yet, it's really good! As usual if you have any suggestion/comment/advice, don't hesitate to tell us °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
I used to have "to short" comments when I was publishing my first chapter because I had only 3 pages per update (once a week), so for chapter 2 I uploaded 5 pages once a month and those kind of comments stopped. Even if some people would have preferred more regular updates, they were glad the updat…
My main problem is the fact that the homepage is very very busy now. There are way too much categories for me, I guess it's OK on the app because it's on a tiny screen, but here I feel lost and I feel like I have to scroll endlessly to get to the popular/trending/staff pick categories. I get that yo…
To answer people who says it's a problem if the readers don't understand your sound effects, I'd say in my opinion it's not necessarily true, I used to read a lot of cheaply translated mangas when I was a kid and in many of them the sound effects weren't translated. It never bothered me since it lo…
Well the comments coming from the author seem a bit passive-agressive in my opinion. I think if you are inconfortable with some comments your readers made, just tell them nicely, and if you have a lot of comments that makes you inconfortable, just make a small announcement saying that you're not ma…

About the popularity of BL, I feel that it is not necessarily true everywhere. On tapastic obviously the majority of the readers are really attracted to it, but on Webtoon for exemple I feel like het romance is more popular, as for published comics in book shops, I don't see a lot of BL among those…
Wow, this looks like a great idea ! I have a few questions myself : when you have to give your name, can it be a pen name or are you suppose to give your real name? I also have the same kind of questions as @shazzbaa ^^
Hey guys ! We just uploaded our new review video ! It's about This is not fiction by Nicole Mannino which is not a tapastic comic but it might still interest you. Hope you'll like it ! (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧
Yeay !! Don't hesitate to tell us what you think !
Once I threw a paper plane on the head of Eiichiro Oda during a festival, but it wasn't on purpose... (the room was full of people so he didn't actually notice me (‘◉n◉’) )
do you have a list or some example ? I didn't see anything ether.
oh great!! Thanks a lot
If somebody here already used TVpaint and then try this new software, I'd like to hear your impression on it. I didn't download it yet but I'm very used to TVpaint and I'd like to know if there is a point to try to learn a whole new software.
happens to me all the time, but not especially when I draw, it can be when I let a glass of water fall on the ground, or if I break something.
I'd say look professional. I mean, don't just come and say "hey! I've got a super cool story, do you want to work with me?", but tell a bit more about your plot, show pictures or illustrations you like and think can represent the mood of your story, speak about some of the writers/artists you like,…
Yeah, me too, I've noticed sometimes that I was in trending before and/or after being in popular so I thought maybe it was the "kind of popular but not so much yet section" xD but I don't get the logic...
Do you know the major difference with the popular section? I've always wondered ...
This sounds fun, I'm in ! Here's mine : Backdoor
Hé je découvre à l'instant, c'est super classe, y a un boulot de fou pour du webcomic dis donc! J'ai subscribé du coup L'histoire fait envie aussi, j'aime bien le délire un peu transhumaniste, c'est chouette.
I got one too, I'm not sure this is really a spam, but I'm not looking for those kind of job anyway, and the "Notice : candidate send us portfolio and female naked drawing" at the end made me laugh so hard. It wasn't very clear for me if they want porn comics or just comics a bit dark and mature.
I think this is just cultural habits. I heard that when a baby teat falls the mother often take it and clean it with her mouth by reflex, and give it back to the baby, but actually her mouth contains way more bacteria than the floor.
Actually the brain still works a bit for a few seconds, but I'm not sure it feels the pain or understand what just happened, I think most of what the head do at that time is moving the eyes a bit. And the guillotine is a good example because it's really quick and clear, but I'm not sure it works th…
Oh yeah and I heard that some readers can downvote comics to advantage their favorite one. I think you are right not looking too much at the bad comments, if they are not helpful, then they aren't worth your attention.
It's just that compared to tapastic, people there are much less nice and polite. Most of the time the readers complain about how much content you upload and you can often have comments like "To short!!!!!!". It's not as harsh as youtube comments but it can be hard to take sometimes if you are only …
I've got 20$ for now and it took me 2 month (but until last week I had less than 10$). I think a lot of my readers are app user only, they never see any ad, so I think your ad revenue can vary a lot depending on the type of readers you have.
