My own comic Arc29, which is on a SHORT hiatus between story-lines, is a sci-fi coming of age story set on a spaceship. The first story is 70 pages. It's Little house on the prairie meets star wars! [image] [image]
While I wouldn't consider the comic over as it's going to continue in a book two very soon, the first book of my sci-fi coming of age story is complete. The second book won't be a simple continuation, so it's complete in that sense. Enjoy! Arc29
Nope, you are not alone! I'm a stay at home dad with two school aged kids. But previous to them being in school I was at home with two of them all the time and drawing during nap times and in the evenings. Not easy. Even now they demand a lot of attention but it's all worth it.
Wow, thanks for the compliments! I will be doing stories in this universe for as long as there is interest, I have no shortage of tales to tell! I'm always trying to keep things interesting for myself so don't expect things to keep heading in the same direction or a direct sequel. Book two (coming s…
First off, congrats! Second, I have heard of women becoming forgetful, clumsy and/or distracted while they're pregnant, so I don't see why it's impossible that fine motor skills might be affected too? There's a lot going on in there after all! Hopefully as you advance from term to term things improv…
I recently uploaded the final page (70) in the first major story-line of my science-fiction coming of age tale. Arc29 I will begin updating with pages from the second book/story-line soon but it's not a direct sequel to this one and each should be able to stand alone, even if they are stronger when …
I'm just about finished my first story arc of my comic and for the second story, I'm changing styles quite drastically. From a ink b+w story to a grey scale fully rendered comic in the second story. I'm worried about how people might react, but at the same time, since it's a natural split in the sto…
Hey, thanks for this! It looks great and is a nice service to the tapastic community.
Seems like a nice idea, cross promotion and all that. I'll throw my hat in the ring, my sci-fi coming of age comic is called Arc29. This is actually pretty good timing as I'm one page away(!) from completing my first major storyline. Btw, I think you should add a link to your comic in your profil…
Adorable character design. Nice linework. Very expressive. [image] [image] This is one of my personal favorite pages that I've done. Arc29
This is one of my favorite pages and it leads into the last page of this first major story arc. Arc29 A sci-fi coming of age story. [image] [image]
Ok, all sound advice. I will keep them together. I guess the challenge is getting it in front of more readers, which was always the challenge, right?
I'm two pages from the end of my first major story arc (70 pages) in a science-fiction coming of age tale, Arc29, and I'm trying to decide if I should start a new series as I start the second major story-line. The reason being that the second story is not a sequel to the first, it happens in the sam…
Made the leap from the under 50 subs! My sci-fi coming of age story is actually only two pages away from the end of this first story arc/book. Arc29 Come check it out! [image] [image]
I'm two pages from the end of the first book/story arc of my comic and would love a review. Arc29
Silent page leading to the end of this first book/arc. Arc29 [image]
It took some time, but I finally broke the under 50 subs barrier and here I am, under 100! Come check out my coming of age story set in space. Arc29 [image]
Feel free to check out my science-fiction coming of age story, Arc29. There are about 60 pages up to read and I'm currently publishing the fourth and final chapter of this story. I will continue in a second story coming soon.
I guess I could recommend my comic, Arc29 it's about a character growing and becoming more responsible in the face of a difficult situation. He has a strong moral code and is very loyal and trustworthy and, perhaps naively, expects the same from others.
This is great! I love getting contrasting advice and then trying to form an opinion that will please as many as possible. In the end, I'm going with the closer zoom-in shot to have a better view of the main subject, and title/lettering closer to the second version, especially the greens, which do ma…
One more Manga studio user here. Like Anna Landin I use both 4 EX and 5 for different things at different times. I'm in the process of trying to migrate fully to manga studio 5.
Thanks for the comments. I agree with what both of you have to say, actually. The brighter colors as well as the zoom and tilt of the second. I think it's the typeface I prefer in the first, so maybe brighter colors would improve the visibility? I'll have to play with it, maybe add an outline to th…
I'm getting ready to print up some hard copies of my comic and have two similar cover designs with different text options and wanted to see what people here thought of each and which might be better and why. The look of the painting is quite different from the interiors of my comic which are in blac…
I really enjoy the passage of time and the slow pace of a traffic cop. Nice drawings overall but particularly love the birds! Clear panel layout as well. Very nice. Subbed! My latest page is on an primitive alien planet where my two protagonists encounter a strange crystal emanating a signal. [i…
Thanks! I really enjoyed doing them, very different from my comic work. I was thinking of making them into a pack of postcards, but maybe a mini would be a better idea...
Last one, enjoy! [image]
