I have been practising drawing for some time. Now publishing my first ever webcomic. I draw in traditional manga layout and transition them into the webtoon layout.

Yes yes yes! This is great! Your art is stunning, the premise is gold, and the main character is amazing! I'm in love with the idea of Seiya's sixth sense. He first saw Bill as a gentleman with a mask as a hint as to the fact that this was merely a persona to cover up his true identity as a monster.…

I prefer traditional format, mostly because that's what I grew up with and I find it hard to let it go, lol. Also, I love how with a traditional layout you can set the mood of a scene by using creative compositions like this: [image] Or this one: https://2.b…

Hey there! I'm Bao or Overlord or Overlord Bao (K-Kaaw is also okay). I've lurked for a long time and just started my first webcomic, SAPIENTS. This forum has helped me a lot, so I thought I'd like to give back  So...please let me draw your OCs! I'm doing this casually, so please don't expect …

I often feel like my work is hidden, as hard as I try  So I was very happy to reach 50 subscribers today! :tada: My fantasy themed comic is all about Genii (Jen-eye), a (somewhat jaded) teen boy who gets into some serious trouble whilst exploring the ruins of an ancient temple and unearthing a forgotten…

As a reader, I think either method is okay for certain things, sometimes with traditional I have to zoom in with my phone but it hasn’t impacted which types of comics I lean towards. As an author I really like what I’ve been able to do with the scroll format although I do kind of dislike that scroll…

I'm team vertical hehehe. It's better to read, even in PC/Tablet. But maybe I'm too used to read webtoons that it became my favorite format. BTW, you won't get many chances to be a premium creator or go to staff picks and stuff with a page format. My recommendation is to work with both if you wan…

I think it depends on the gender. Action stories usually look better in a traditional format, but suspense stories look better in scroll format (again, in my opinion)

No way am I going back to reformat 80+ pages to mobile view Lol! I do keep my panels large though so they are easy to read and I can't draw tiny anyway. :joy:

I prefer traditional layout, because it looks a lot better on tablet and pc (plus, its printable). Vertical is only good on movilephone and I hardly ever read comic on there.

I had some ideas for T.V / Film projects. I thought to myself there's no way you could write a story as a novice. But I decided to give it a try. One of my main series Monster Idol involved lots of games. And I was able to build the story around them. Which are based on parodies of various T.V / Gam…

I always wanted to create comics ever since I was little. As a college student, I tried to start up webcomics but they seemed to always fail due to bad story planning. One of which was a story about a weird alien who befriended some humans. The story originally had a co-creator who later became an e…

When I was a kid, I daydreamed my time away. I'd wish for some kind of fantasy creature to come from out of the woods to take me away or maybe some spacecraft to beam me up. I think all fictional writing in one form or another is an expression of the author's wish fulfillment when not pandering to d…

It honestly started as an idea i had when i was in high school but little freshmen me didn't know about how to write or even draw at the time and pushed the idea in the back of his mind. But the idea itself kept crawling back to me over and over again only until i finally decided to pursue it and ma…

I've been writing books since I was really young. I spent a while worldbuidling for Demetori as you can probably find on another thread. Most of my fantasy novels are in the same world and Demetori is planned to be the first real example of that. What pushed me the extra steps to want to publish …

I wrote a heck of a lot of fanfiction back in college that sparked my love for writing and became pretty popular! I eventually broke off into original writing around 2 or 3 years, but only ever short stories. I was looking to start writing long fiction again and browsed around for a home for my work…

I did posted something like this topic before, so because I'm too lazy I copied what I wrote on that topic :joy::joy: and have fun For me, I started reading the comics first on webtoon and I thought that I could make something like that, I watched YouTube tutorials about how to draw:sweat_smile:, but I really made no pr…

A few years ago, I had just started getting back into art after a long period of being too depressed and low energy to work on it. Around that same time I was playing in a DnD game, and had started chatting with the group about how I thought the character dynamics and setting would make for a neat c…

I started drawing the art for our series a couple months ago! I hoped to be an oil painter when I was younger but ended up going into mechanical engineering instead and then corporate work. My personality is just not suited to the networking I needed to do to make it with painting. I've been an av…

I love writing and I started writing and coding when I was not getting the content I wanted in the old video games. Then I did the same with the novels. I write for the dead tired from work Because I am dead tired from workand I need escapist stories that are full of adventure, funny and clever…

I always liked reading and writing fiction when I was young. I stopped in my teens (writing, not reading) due to school but picked up again in 2015. I started with fanfiction, original short stories, and poetry in 2015. Eventually, the fandom died down and I didn't want to confine my stories to use …

I've been writing for a good while, but my main writing passion at the moment originated from NaNoWriMo 2017. I was trying to decide on what to write, unable to figure out what I felt like writing...and then a longing to write something magical-girl flavoured came to me. I figured something like tha…

I've been working on making comics for more than a decade. Under different usernames on different sites my old stuff still exists. But eventually I took a hiatus from comicking. It wasn't really going anywhere, I hit a wall with my story telling because I was doing too much on the fly, I wasn't happ…

Thanks for the new submissions! It will probably take a while, but we'll give them a look.

Hey guys!! I wanted to thank you all in the forums, about how awesome and kind everyone has been even way back before this whole crazy pandemic started. I am very new and still in the process of learning when it comes to webcomics and digital art, I'm always afraid my questions will be annoying or…

That's sad to hear :frowning: But you're right, everyone here is amazing

The thing about traditional layout on online media is you need to make it mobile-friendly. That you have done too. I see nothing wrong in your setup. Personally, I like the scroll better. There is so much more you can do with it. Every frame becomes a page. Every emotion can get presented witho…

that artstyle is bloody awesome! I cant' say much about paneling it slef but that fontsize is really small for mobile and a lot fo readers use mobile exclusively because you need to wait twice less for originals to update lol. So maybe concider some kind of mix of it and rearrange some text heave p…

Hi! If you've been having trouble getting views on you're comic, post it here! I'll be sure to check it out! This isn't really one of those "A soul for a soul" type things where I want you to check out my comic in return, but if you'd like to see my work, check out the link bellow! (Hope that d…
