Hi. I want to say this to all artists. Stop fussing and worrying about your artwork. The more you draw, the better you get. That's it. There's no shortcuts. You'll begin to see things and try poses that you could not before.
I see too many budding creators here get crippled and panicking about the quality of their artwork. I've been drawing longer than most. I'm still not there yet. Some days, my stuff is better, some days it's not. But the only trick I know of is too keep at it. When you are ready to invest in learning more about perspective, anatomy, shading and light, then that will come naturally and then you will seek the resources that you need to improve.
Meanwhile, don't fuss. Do what you can today. Don't try to be perfect now. It's a learning process. I've learned this when I first read the collected The Mask drawn by Doug Mahnke. His first issues were a bit meh. But but by the end of the fourth, his work was incredible. That's because he was drawing non stop. Today, Doug Mahnke is one of the best and the greats in comics.
You have to start somewhere and half of the fun of following a cartoonist is witnessing their progress on their work.
Cheers!
Now go draw!
