what is the worth of an artist? what makes an artist worth something? was van gogh only worth something after he died?
why is an unpopular artist worthless?
this is like, a thing. in media, sometimes stuff that is very generic and safe does very well for that exact reason. its comfort content, it doesnt challenge the reader but instead can be trusted to make them feel good - or good enough. most people arent artists or writers and dont look for the intricacies of the work that an artist/writer might - theres the idea of the writers' writer, the songwriters' writer, the filmmakers' filmmaker; people who arent popular overall, but are beloved by people actually doing the job who recognise the quality.
that said, theres also a great deal of craft that goes into the generic and safe work to make it visually appealing, well marketed, well scheduled - all that business-y stuff that shouldnt concern artistes like you and me (sarc)

you love it! keep doing it!!! if you stop loving it, then walk away or rework it or find some new way to keep loving it but right now you love it! thats all that matters
tbh thats just not as likely to happen as anyone thinks it is
same!! its so hard getting good, meaningful feedback. dont look for this from your audience - find yourself an editor. this doesnt need to be someone you pay, this can be a teacher (if you have em, or get back in touch with one, or hit up your local arts centre or community college and see what they can do!) or a friend or parent or friend of a parent or friend who knows their stuff. it can be a discord server of other people making webtoons, even.
and stop believing that theres something 'wrong' with your story that needs fixing. every story has flaws, even starwars, even the iliad, even shakespeare. it sounds like youre pretty early on in your career so your story definitely has flaws (mine too, glaring ones, ugh) - but there isnt some deepseated wrongness with your comic that is stopping people from loving it. however, identifying the flaws and inevitable trip ups is a great way to not do them again, which is why an editor who knows their stuff is a very valuable thing.
i think you need to take some time away from stats and the public eye and make some art just for yourself. grab a $2 sketchbook and make yourself a comic that you dont show to anyone. you dont publish it on webtoons, you dont put it up as a reward on patreon, it doesnt go on your portfolio or your mums fridge. its just for you. you love this, man, and youll still love it in a void. right? and that love, thats worth the whole world.
