Anyone have a crush on their own character?

There's a character that's kinda based on me but as a girl (still hasn't shown), so sometimes I feel like "attracted" It's kinda weird to be honest.

So I see my characters as strangers I'm just documenting the lives of.

Particularly when it comes to the love interests I write, I inject them with qualities that I find attractive and/or base them off celebrities I have crushes on.

So the character currently in the cross-hairs of my heart eyes is Valon from my webnovel, based off my old man crush Stephen Lang.

I have this one baby, shes the first OC I ever made, so Ive always thought of her as my child but before i knew it she was saving my life.
She never gives up on me, she never gives up on anyone. She's who I wish I could be. When I was so deep in depression she was always the one who found me and brought me home. Shes the light of my life. I cant wait for the world to meet her fully one day. i hope they love her as much as I do.

To me, it depends on the story and the character.
Now, if we consider the main character of my Novel, no, I don't have a crush on him, he's too baby. He's more like a son to me.

My main character is a reflection of me in a lot of ways so it'd be a bit narcissistic if I had a crush on them However, like many other writers, I do have semi-parental feelings for them and the rest of the main cast.

I am always in love with all my characters while I am writing, then I go parental once the story is finished and I've moved on to the next cast. Kindda fate of a writer.

I've got it really bad because I'm writing a M/M romantic fantasy and I'm seriously crushing on both of the men. Like, I don't even know which I would choose. One is the classic tall handsome blonde Captain America kind of character with a protective nature and a heart of gold. The other is graceful dark Nubian perfection with a manipulative arrogance and humor hiding a lifetime of hurt like Loki.

So hard to choose, man! XD
