I feel like I've seen less artists posting pride month stuff this year, from doing pride merch to queer art of their ocs or other special pride-related posts. Fewer pride flags in people's profile pics as well. To be fair there is a lot of stuff going on in the world so I understand if the drive isn't there as it has been in the past few years.

Is this just my experience or have y'all noticed this too? And do you have any plans for pride month art/comics/social media posts/art-related stuff for charities or anything else?

I'm just going my normal stuff lol. Lots of my art is queer because I am queer. But nothing in particular for pride month.

I did a pride month art

and I feel like most of people dropped their right at the start of the month and then things went quiet and I'm only seeing occasional pride themed commission post

I might try to get something done, though it might happen in July instead since that's our local Pride Month

I have nothing in the works truth be told.

Then again I don't belong in the LGBTQ+ community (despite likely being demisexual, but still just calling myself straight because I'm too much of a normie to fit in with the queer folks) so making queer art for pride month makes me feel like those mega-corps painting their logos in a rainbow color.

I did some Pride related strips for my comic.

I find is somewhat hard to think of stuff to make for Pride because for me, I'm queer 12 months out the the year. There is nothing really unique about this month outside of there being parades and festivals.

I did art for the pride march tapas is doing on their discord. I live in NZ so pride month is actually in March (probably cuz June's too cold for kink gear)

I have a goofy little post I made for IG and Tumblr...not sure if I'm going to post it to tapas though.

I may do a short comic of Amrit and Cly back when they were younger and solving mysteries.

Maybe it's like it's been said some comments above mine, maybe people post on the first days of june and then silence radio! I'm doing a simple headshot with my boy and his flag

I have one of my characters from Apparent Secrets walking in the Tapas Pride Parade (coming soon). Although several characters are part of the community, I only had time to draw one this year. :cry_02:

The "Do straights belong at Pride?" discourse has been floating around again and I've been thinking about it.

Personally, being cishet means that Pride isn't something I need to have in my life. Acceptance for my orientation has never been a battle I needed to fight either. That's just as aspect of being your culture's accepted default, I guess.

Thus me making art or any sort of noise about Pride would be the same as Amazon or Meta posting up their annual "We love our homos!" jpg. It would be like very white me walking into The Cookout and asking for my ribs.

They were not my struggles. Thus the celebrations are not my place to be either. Making art for it? Naked pandering.

That is like when my sister wanted to go to Pride one year when Miley Cyrus was going to preform.

Are you here for the event or just Miley? I guess the answer was both.

Honestly, I personally believe we would celebrate Pride through out the year. People don't stop being LGBTQ once the month ends
