Like for example, as it relates to novels someone could become a beta reader. I'm looking for examples like that.

I'd like lot's of replies to this question please because I'm trying to find the right job that I can do.

You can give me a list of different online jobs if you want. If you reply to this post of mine it would be really helpful and thank you.
You can mention a online job that doesn't have anything to do with comics and novels if you want to.

(I don't have a job, so your replies are precious to me.)

People say flattener as a job, which I think would be super easy. But I don't know if that is a thing anymore with digital.

I don't see why not.
I've been needing someone to be a flatter for me for a while because I just hate doing it, but I'm not at the point of spending liberally for someone to help me with them.

Ghostwriting (for novels) and script writing (for comics) is another thing you can do

Fiverr has a lot of options for illustrators and writers but you compete with people who work for really
low prices.

Here are some other options to make money online but you have to advertise that a lot or know people:
tranlations
dialogue writing
flats

If you can draw, selling clipart and illustrations as digital downloads.

It's a great source of passive income.:+1:

Generally paid work in comics and novels requires some level of skill, so honestly there are probably easier skills to learn to start making money (computer coding for sure. It sounds intimidating, but it's actually a lot easier and takes a lot shorter time to get good enough at it to earn money than writing or drawing), or much more profitable ones a person without much training or work experience could do (like working in a supermarket or cafe, telemarketing or being a postal worker).

Flatters generally require just some basic image editing software skills, and sometimes people will hire them, but most smaller productions will want somebody with a more general colouring skillset.

Generally flatting or especially colouring, inking or lettering are pretty common jobs in webcomics, but they can be competitive, and often go to people who are pretty decent artists in their own right looking for a way into the industry.

Setting up the 3D models can be a job for a lot of larger modern webcomics, and knowing how to make or manipulate 3D models can have applications in games development, 3D printing and stuff.

Social media management. If I could afford to have somebody handle all my instagram and official twitter posting, I'd totally do it.

Tapas does actually have a jobs page where they sometimes post jobs to apply for. They're often looking for people based in California though.:
