Because I love detail and also going over all my comic pages, I created this "meme" (eh, that's what they used to call them, but a template you can fill out sorta-thing) all about Character Consistency. As I put elsewhere, designing a character is one part personality and looks and another part actions, emotions and ways of speaking.
Here's the template so you can fill it out! click!39
It asks you to find pictures of you character expressing common emotions (two of each) and then places where you can put examples of your character's body language, way of speaking and any miscellaneous quirks or habits they have.

And here's a filled-out template of my character Cyrus from my webcomic!9 You can open it in a new page to make it bigger.

I did make one mistake on my filled-out template: I wrote "mid to low syntax" when I meant "mid to low diction." If you're confused on what those words mean, diction refers to the level of vocabulary of a character, and syntax is how they phrase their sentences, if you character has a particular grammatical way of speaking.
So low diction would be colloquial talk, mid diction kinda regular words, and high diction being intellectual, look-it-up-in-the-thesarus kind of words. Diction can also refer to jargon; like my character Trickster who talks like he's out of the 90's, which he is.

It's a big task to fill it out but if you do please link it here so I can see it!

I just wanted to make an annotation on the example you made of your comic, the colors that goes with each example are actually in tone with the emotion involved, at first i said "huh, nice little accident" but i think it is really intentional so this made me like your work even more. kudos. (i'll see if i can make one with i have of my comic) stuck_out_tongue

Coyote is so smug he doesn't have TIME to be disappointed!
The actually challenge was to use panels from your comic... But since you've only got 3 pages so far this seems like a good compromise.

He suffers from chronic smug-itis. It's a terminal disease which always leads to getting one's face smacked ;w;

I'll redo it some day with actual panels, haha.
