I'm writing a romance/drama, I've asked this to my instagram followers as well for fun before - and the results are always so sweet and funny. They also help me (and could help others?) on ideas to include in a romance. :kissing_heart:

So, any cute stories or things your crush/S.O does?
Or favorite romance tropes n things you want to contribute? ^^

I think one trope I really like is the crush that tells very corny jokes. Just think about it: you find this person attractive, simply attractive, and what amps that attraction even more than your crush telling very punny, very wholesome, corny jokes?

Sure, they might not always be funny, but it's cute that they laugh at their own jokes.

It's what my high school crush did. That, and he had a very nice singing voice and liked having sing-offs with his friends. What can I say? I'm a sucker for singing and corny jokes

I remember when me and my boyfriend first started dating (we worked together), he would always leave me really sweet notes on sticky notes to find. Ie. he'd tuck one in my notebook, or he'd put one on my computer screen after I'd left ect.

I'm a sucker for the innocently naive. Asking for help about the most simplest things like they're grand puzzles makes my heart melt.

One time my friend went to that Bodies exhibit where donated bodies are shown in activity so you can see the muscles and stuff. A student asked, "Um, this might be dumb but, did they die in these positions?"

While she was observing a body riding a bycycle.

It was so stupid and cute. It makes me feel like a bad person.

Sometimes your crush shows a hidden talent that doesn`t shows too ofter....In my case, her talent was arabian dancing. She was very skilled and moved in a gracefull way, so i was lost in her movements contemplating such a magnificent display.

When people start shipping you and your crush together, because the connection between both of you is visible. (it happened to me XD).

When kids who see you like each other try to be your wingmen (it happened to me too)

Developing inner jokes between both of you. Guess this one is a classic.

Doing something both didn`t know how to do. Like dancing. We sucked, but we laughted a lot about the whole situation.

This was more of a case of someone who had a crush on me, i got a scrape and she was studying to be a nurse, so she started treating my scrape. (didn`t happened anything romantic, but these moments can be adorable when both people like each other)

These are so sweet, I probably won't reply in most cases cause I'm bad at that lmao, but I appreciate everyone sharing!

My contribution;
A group of us went to a gas station for snacks. I bought his favorite candy for him when he wasn't looking. But he bought my favorite chocolate bar when I wasn't. We didn't find out till we went to give them to each other ^^;
He also use to sneak my favorite flower (when they were in season) into my locker before I got to school.

I dunno... he looks very cute when he is lying in the morning on the bed, wrapped in a blanket like cocoon. If I see that he is wrapped this way but doesn't sleep anymore, I sometimes ask: Are you the pupa? Are you going to become the butterfly today? Where are your wings?

My partner always follows me around, when I cook and hugs me from behind, when I'm at the stove. It's super cute, but kinda dangerous with the heat. So I always tell him off and he walks away like a puppy in shame. ^^

We also do a lot of random noises and sing stupid songs about everything (one only has my name as the lyrics and basically no real melody). A thing a lot of couples do is a secret language, and we are no exception. We have terms for sleep, food, hugging and so on xP

Cute things your crush does?

Exists...

Not helpful I know, but he's sooooo cuuute...

But seriously, I do have a point. When you have a crush everything they do you will find endearing. Maybe you can think about that?

Ignoring me

But besides that, you could say it's cute when they go on and on talking about something they're passionate about--when they're really into it, you're content with just sitting back and listening.

hmm gonna sound corny but my bf makes these surprised flustered noises when I embarass him and he'll look away or cover a bit of his face it's very adorable (and very anime).

Also when he gets very excited about something I don't know about he'll take in a deep breath and then just start rambling away.
I also like when he tries not to laugh at my stupid jokes but I can hear he's smiling (we talk over the phone mostly cause ldr)

Hope it helps a bit!

Nicknames are cute like princess or you know calling each other idiots in the most adorable way possible works as well
Good morning and goodnight texts
Sharing food (if both parties don't mind) it got to the habit that we would do it unconsciously idk if that's considered cute
Forehead kisses
They would have this habit of lying down on my lap and complaining about their day or just talking in general. It's cute
Hugs from behind
Singing together while we're driving it's adorable he was terrible but whatever lol
You can tell what the other person was thinking just by looking at their eyes (silent communication) we had mastered that XD
Trying to make me laugh or smile when I'm having a bad day or feeling down by sending stupid jokes or taking me out/just acting ridiculous

Oh boy so I have a boyfriend now and I just... he's so cute the way he covers his face when he laughs and how he hugs me and his jokes and that one time we had manipedis together despite the social stigma around it just ughhh
@monotone_ink oh no did she die?

haha my wife and I have always had a bit of a razzing relationship. We often make fun of one another, in an affectionate way.

I think one of the best examples, is when she first cooked for me... It was horrible! I was so confused. She made spaghetti with green beans in it and a canned sauce (I'm Italian, it's basically a sin). I ate it joyfully but made fun of her weird culinary choices the entire time.
