When I listed my webcomic: Dumah9 in the 'Action' genre, I felt that it was the right category for the series as there was going to be a fair number of action sequences throughout.

But now reading it again from the beginning I feel that these action set pieces are few and far between the supernatural elements and the suspense of the mystery the series is unfolding. So, I looked through the genre listings and found 3 other genres that come close to matching my series. Those being: Gaming, Fantasy and Mystery.

I would like to know if the 'Action' genre suites my webcomic. Or should I re-list it to either the 'Gaming', 'Fantasy' or 'Mystery' genres.

Thanks!

genre is pretty arbitrary, so any of these could be fine for you. id recommend looking through each category on tapas and the comics it holds, and thinking about where theres the most comics that are like yours, because thats where people are looking for comics like yours.

you could also try rotating between genre tags to see which one boosts your traffic most. i oscillate between romance and fantasy on my srs depending on the season

This topic is one that a lot of people have struggled with. I don't think it's wrong to experiment with changing your genre and see if you find more readers. Why not give mystery a shot?
