So, I'm autistic and have adhd and I struggle to stay still when writing and tend to unconsciously wander away from my computer a lot when I start getting lost in my thoughts about what I'm writing. I've converted my dining room table into a standing desk to see if that might help, and although my writing bursts have increased. I'm lucky if I can keep that focus for even 20 minutes before I wander off thinking about the things I need to be writing down.
((basically, I think clearer when I move, but I'm uncertain if moving in place will help me focus on writing (or if I'll even be able to focus on typing at all), and a treadmill is a big enough expense to jump into without knowing if it might help))

So, my questions are:
-Does anyone use a treadmill desk in general (even for nonwriting task), does it help you focus and/or productivity compared to just sitting or standing?
-Has anyone with ADHD/Autism or anyone who experiences the difficulty of staying still when writing, because moving just helps you think better, tried this? Has it helped? If you do find yourself sort of mentally removed, does the walking in place help reduce the steps to re-enter the task of working on your novels, etc. and make easier to get back to typing, versus if you left the room to wander.
-Roughly how long did it take to get used typing while using a treadmill?
-honestly feel free to mention anything that comes to mind regarding your experiences trying writing desks out/ getting used to using one.
-actually, if you have any tips for focusing with the listed tendencies, feel free to mention them. (I can sit still and focus on writing in public, and most of my writing occurs while on breaks at work, but I really want to be able to consistently work at home rather then spend 10 minutes writing and another 1 hour pacing thinking about the story I need to be writing)

((rip to me wandering away at least five times while writings this because I was thinking too much about what to write))
