I actually recently drew a mirror for the rework of my first page! I guess I just draw the character and do shading and lighting stuff, and then draw the mirror over them.

(Sorry if that's not helpful ^^")

No, it’s helpful! I think you got enough subtext in the details you add that communicate it’s a mirror, there’s no reason for me to be picky, I just have a weird sense that mines missing something...

Looks good to me, the first thing I noticed was that the overlapping fingers don't have a reflection. Also the lighting on the reflected person is not present on the person holding the mirror.

I think it looks really good!

The only thing throwing me off a bit is that we can't see the girl's head in the foreground. It might come across more like a mirror with her blurred out head in the foreground, like in the photos below. However, it's hard to tell the context of this panel; I'm not sure that would work in this instance.

!!!! I didn’t think of the guys fingers!!! That’s really good 80

As for the stuff around it I’ve been so preoccupied with the mirror I haven’t gotten around to shading it yet ^^’

You could even maybe move that pointing hand up to also show a little reflection if you don't want to show a head.

The update! I may try sneaking the reflection hand of the girl into the image somehow later and I adjusted the mirror to reflect the guys fingertips.

They don’t look the same because the reason the mirrors coloured is it’s magic and shows someone’s true reflection and the person holding the mirror is disguised, it’ll Be an interesting thing if any of my readers pick up on it ^^ thank you for all the help!

I think turning up the opacity on the screen layer providing the white stripes would help. That's usually my go-to for depicting anything glassy.

Once that's done, you can erase a gradient out of it with an airbrush. I'll drop an example below. (It's a window, but similar techniques apply.)
