They all look great! I do agree that the green eyed dude is a bit boring though. You could try incorporating green somewhere else in his character design? Maybe a jacket or something?

Also I find it a bit odd that the blonde girl's bangs cover her eyes, but no one else's do. It makes her look a bit more aloof/closed off, which I like, but I think that could be done while keeping the style a bit more consistant.

I’m glad the bangs make her look aloof! A jacket-like-thing is a great idea. I might change the bang physics for other characters too so that it doesn’t look weird, that was a valid critique

I think they look fine! They're all distinct from each other except the last one, I dunno they just don't stand out as much as the others? I just can't seem to tell anything about them from their design. Could just be me though :joy:
As for tall boi, you could give him some accessories with colour? Like glasses or a necklace or one of those chains that hang off your belt loops and it has something attached to it.

Yeah, she does seem a bit plain, Maybe I could give her a belt with potion bottles on it, and tall boi could get a cloak to match the wolf girl so their designs go together and he gets a pop of color

I think you could do more to vary the skin tones of the characters, they're all pretty pale. The values on the characters, values meaning the range in the darkness and lightness of the colors, should vary more within each character. They're coming off as pretty flat as is.

While I recognize that simplicity is the goal with this set of characters, I still think they lack a lot detail. Maybe seams on the clothing, maybe some frills on the blonde girl's dress, maybe a bracelet or necklace for one of the characters, dirty hands or a bandage, a hat or cloak of sorts. Anything that sets characters even more apart and gives a clue into their personality and upbringing.

This is a personal gripe, but I really don't like the way the eyes are stylized. I've never been fond of the eyes over the hair thing but if you like it, then keep it. I also think the eyes could be made just slightly smaller so that the faces indicate forehead space. And also consider showing hairlines as well. And lastly you put a lot of effort into hiding the ears of all the characters. I think you should have a least one, maybe two, human characters showing their ears.

Yeah, most of those are pretty valid. I appreciate all the stuff you said! guess I can’t procrastinate anymore, I’ve gotta start drawing ears.

Okay! So I added a cloak to tall boi, i really like it! It adds a pop of color, an interesting silhouette, and ties in his design more with the girl all the way on the left and makes it more obvious they’re related. I changed up some colors and added a belt with some herbs, a bottle, and a vial of magic stuff to the girl on the right and slightly changed some colors. I gave everyone ears, except wolf girl because she already had some. Thoughts? (I’m working on adding some stuff to the blond girl’s design it’s just taking a while)

Honest opinion,

I think you could benefit from more detail in their clothes. Maybe adding patterns or textures to their pants and shirts could punch things up too. And you're colors are all a bit dull and close in a way that makes them feel muddied.

I think they are varied nicely in their silhouettes, but right now, they seem too dull to remember or stand out, in my opinion.

I know simplicity is probably your aim, but I'm sure there's plenty of room for improvement.

These are coming along! I think maybe the belt on right hand character has a bit too much fine detail compared to the rest of the design and the other characters. Maybe try instead of three small items just putting one larger item on there, or a nice belt pouch?

Second-from left the socks are a bit close in colour to the skintone. Try lightening them to a white or making them blue like the ribbon?

I like the addition of the cloak on Second from left, but have you considered giving that cloak a different collar style to the left-hand character? There are lots of styles for cloaks, so maybe his could have a mantle around the shoulders, or a collar instead of a hood, or be side rather than front fastening or something, or even just have a brooch or tie to add more variety?

Their cloaks look almost the same on purpose. i really appreciate your feedback!
