I have so many piling up (I don't really trash them).
My issue is that often, I have good ideas (I think) for the beginning, but then, as I develop the story, I have difficulties to keep it as intetesting as the beginning was. So it feels underwhelming and I put the story away.
Often, that's by cannibalizing parts of old stories that I can create a working patchwork.
For my current comic, it was first developed as a set of 20 songs, so there are 20 focal points distributed along the comic, which is avoiding the 'all the good ideas at the beginning' problem.
