I'd go old school side scroll Beat em' up, TMNT and/or X-Men arcade style. As for consoles, I'd say a classic home release and PC. Also, it has to have Konami inspired music because they know how to compose excellent tracks.

Probably some indie art stuff but an actual game with gameplay. Like all those abstract rpg maker games.

RHYTHM GAMES ALL THE WAY.
I really find the idea of music driven narratives like Space Channel 5 to be really interesting.

Oh man, what a fun question!
Unfamiliar would be a cute pixel art side scroller where you fly on a broom and collect special items.

Disasterpiece would be an art school themed stat management game that is impossible to win. =w=

Lol - this is a cool topic.

Aetherwar began as a board game creation. So a turn based 4 v1 game would be cool.

But on second thoughts a Final Fantasy (7 through to 9) clone would be more awesome!

For Ashe it would be a fantasy turn based rpg. For Wittorf, definatly a dating simulator xD

First off, thank you! I'm glad you like them! They are a joy to write : )

As for the D&D part, it's funny you should say that. The concept, world, etc. are based on a tabletop role playing game that I designed. I guess the story's themes are rather indicative of its origin.

Definitely, RPG for both my comics smile With multiple endings depending on your decisions and relationship with other characters. Maybe turned-based but also action-based would work out. And with a vast world to explore and catchy soundtrack hehehe

i havent posted my comic yet, but i feel like vintage hairclips would be a dating sim with rhythm minigames, since its a slice of life about a band

If The Trivial Tales of Luna Lesser was a game, it'd probably be a point and click adventure game. One of the Sam and Max style ones, where you have to play on the moral ambiguity of the lead character. Either that, or a platformer, but with a Psychonauts level of character interaction. I'm also not ruling out an RPG. Or kart racer. Too many options, really.

4 years later

My book The Soul Collectors takes place in an alternative world of the Others. This would certainly be a dark RPG.
The main characters would make pretty cool main PCs.

Probably an Undertale style RPG for console and mobile. It would suit the storytelling style, and the way that new characters, enemies and worlds are introduced.

I love how a bot gravedug this with a COMPLETELY irrelevant comment, and now it's active again lmao.

My comic started as a game actually, it was an RPG. So there's the answer to that I guess :joy:

wooo I like this topic

I have imagined it as a rpg (I think as agame it could work in any device) 8D
